No wait on a Friday night at 7 pm. Hostess told us it was a slow night and less than 50% of the tables were occupied. The restaurant was extremely dirty. There was a spill on the floor with a "wet floor" sign when we arrived and it was still there when we left. Noone mopped it up. The bathroom was out of toilet paper, soap dispenser was filled with hand sanitizer, no soap was available to wash hands. Salad bar had partially brown lettuce. The area with sauces was very messy with spills and several sauces were empty (see photo). They filled these upon request only. Noone seemed to be in charge of keeping the area clean. I can't imagine what this place looks like on a busy night!! On a positive note, the waiters and waitress were polite and worked hard to serve their tables. The cooks were also polite and hard working. I was unable to determine if there was a manager on site. If there was, he/she definitely didn't walk around to assess the appearance of the restaurant or the experience of the guests. I will not be coming back. The downtown location is much cleaner and well managed.

Dark and cavernous, BD's is not the spot for a comfy cozy atmosphere by any stretch. The place was almost empty (not too surprisingly) at 1:45 on a Tuesday but it only emphasized the loneliness of the space. Our server was not thrilled to be there- "How are you?" to which he replied "I'm here." He vaguely explained the process to get the made to order menu option, brought my husband water instead of soda and treated everything with a frantic attitude despite there being only 3 tables of customers and at least one other server. All that said, the make your own bowl that is cooked while you watch was delicious. I had to get over putting raw chicken and fresh veggies into the same bowl (it's only for a minute or two I told myself) and the choice of meats, seafood, vegetables and sauces was outstanding and looked fresh. Add your choice of rice to the prepared order and voila! Plenty for now and leftovers too. Next time I would likely do carryout but it was good enough to warrant a next time...sometime.

This was my first experience at BD's Mongolian Grill, and I walked in with no expectations whatsoever. To my surprise, my expectations were completely exceeded! One of the most exciting aspects was the ability to select my own ingredients from various fresh vegetables, meats, and noodles. Watching the skilled chefs cook my custom creation right before my eyes was truly captivating; the vibrant colors and sizzling sounds made for an engaging dining experience. The food was excellent—each bite was flavorful, and I loved the option to customize sauces for an added kick. Despite the restaurant being quite packed that evening, the service was attentive and efficient, which I appreciated. Overall, my visit to BD's Mongolian Grill was a delightful culinary adventure that I can't wait to repeat!

This location is TERRIBLE!!! I live in Dayton and our BD's there is SO much better! Comparing the two is like night and day. First of all, this place is dirty. The bar is not well maintained and when I saw one of the employee's go over to clean it up, she was taking food that had fallen into the wrong containers and putting it back in where it belonged (i.e. onions fell into the tofu, she picked out the onions and put them back in with the others rather than throwing them away). The bathroom was out of soap and paper towels. I have never seen SO much food wasted on the floor and on the lower part of the grill, EVER. As if they had taken entire orders of food and completely missed the plate. The guys manning the grill are the SLOWEST I have EVER seen. I have NEVER experienced just an inefficient group of workers. I've never waited SO long for my food to be finished. It's as if they forget about it. Or maybe it's because they are so SLOW that it take them 10 minutes to do a full rotation around the grill. And when they do get back about to it, they slowly and gently push the food around so like a little kitten. On top of that, there is no direction as to where the customers should be going and standing in line to wait for their food. So it's absolute CHAOS! The grill guys were constantly putting the wrong sauces on the wrong food. On one occasion, one of the guys took this grown mans SPAGHETTI noodle and chicken and chopped it up into very fine baby food. This poor guy had his spaghetti chopped into teeny tiny pieces. They were also very unfriendly. And I cannot stress the amount of MESS behind the counter and the amount of food WASTE! The waitress was friendly but seemed very inept. She messed my check and my sister's check, and when she went back to swipe my card, she was gone for TWENTY minutes before she brought it back. She never refilled our drinks nor did she ever come back to check on us. Again, my experience at the location in Dayton is about 10,000 times better. My sister lives in Columbus and said that she's coming all the way to Dayton next time she wants BD's. My experience every time I go to this location is just AWFUL!! I would HIGHLY recommend bringing someone over from the Dayton location to properly train this...

Everything with the food was great! Now the service on the other hand was terrible, we went on Friday night and it really wasn't that busy, we got seated and waited 15 min for our server jasmine to even acknowledge we we were there, then we asked for rice and tortillas, went and made our bowls and came back to table and usually they have your rice and tortillas and drinks waiting for you, nope not there and jasmine was nowhere in sight, so we asked another waitress who went and got her and we got our drinks, then about 10 min later our food arrived, but it wasn't brought by our server jasmine it was a food runner, mind you still no rice or tortillas, so we started eating and I needed a refill on my drink which again a different waitress noticed but ours was nowhere around, so the other waitress said something to her and then told us she told our server I needed a refill, which came 5 min later and we had to ask for rice and tortillas again! You know servers there just have to get you drinks and get the rice and tortillas if you want it, other than that it didn't look like they had to do anything else because they had food runners, so for this server jasmine to be that slow and not come and check on us at all was downright terrible, then to top it off they brought the bill and it was 50 dollars for 2 bowls and 2 drinks, It was not that expensive when I started going here and now I would have to say it's overpriced, but our service was terrible and I don't think we will be returning just because of the terrible service, we spent more time waiting for the server to even come to the table and get us what we asked for than it took us to eat, then we asked for the check and to go boxes so she would bring them together, nope she brought me the check 10 min later but no boxes which we had to ask for again and then that took 10 min. I would understand if the place was packed but they really weren't that busy. My wife didn't even want me to leave a tip but I atleast left a couple bucks but usually if your a good server I tip over what is suggested just because I know that's what servers live off of but I think it's time for jasmine to find a different occupation because we weren't the only table not happy last night when...

We had a reservation for 6pm. We arrived promptly at 6pm. The hostess didn't know where to put us, as they were short staffed (like everywhere, nothing new). Eventually she seated us and said someone named Rachel would take care of us. We sat there for about 8 minutes before a male waiter named Brian attended to us. He mentioned that he noticed that we had been waiting a while, so he was going to take care of us. We never saw Rachel. We ordered our drinks, two regular bowls, and one for my son. They had some new system with post-it-notes that wasn't really explained well. The servers bring your food to you after it's cooked. You don't wait with your food anymore. My son and I went up (we were told to get started), but we didn't have the post-it-notes, so the cooks were confused. After we sat back down, we waited...and waited...and waited some more. My wife went and got her food in the mean time. Eventually her food was delivered, then mine. My son's went missing. Both my wife's and my food were luke warm, because they had been sitting on the counter waiting to be brought to us. It was also determined that yes, indeed, my son's food was gone. So we got another bowl and I got his food again. I mentioned to Brian that no, I was not blaming him for anything, but our food wasn't hot and that it was ridiculous that my kid's food was missing. He mentioned he would get the manager. We then eventually got our rice. My wife and I had finished our food by the time my son got his food. Brian was extremely apologetic and said the manager would be over. Eventually he came back and said they were only charging us for one bowl and nothing else and allowed me to go back up for seconds to take home. We never saw a manager. The whole ordeal wasn't as bad as this may read, but it sure was obnoxious. Also, they are not CCW friendly. They have the tiniest "no gun sign," on their front, at the bottom where the glass meets the floor. Move that sign up so people...
