During a DoorDash delivery shift I received a request to pick up two separate orders from the sonic on Olentangy River Road in Columbus Ohio I followed the instructions on the app and first went to the patio but after not being helped for quite some time I’ve been pulled into the drive-through there was approximately three cars ahead of me and while sitting in the drive-through for approximately half an hour it was finally my turn at the speaker and then proceeded to sit at the speaker for another 20 minutes before I asked is anyone there is the restaurant still open? I received a response from a young lady inside the store that said “yes we are open “that was it and then sat there for another 25 minutes before I decided to unassigned myself from both orders and drive off as well as everyone else that was behind me in the drive-through (another three cars) so long story short, I was at this location for over an hour with no pay no communicationOn what was going on when they were gonna take my order if they were gonna take my order or what was happening in anyway… So, sadly, I can’t give the quality or insight on their food/beverages/desserts whatsoever because I never got any I also didn’t get to pick up my customers orders this was the worst customer service experience I have ever been through anywhere… I completely understand if there is a staffing shortage and if things aren’t going the way they should be and I would never complain had I been advised on what the situation was. However, there was absolutely no communication whatsoever on anything that was going on so in this situation I feel like they completely dropped the ball and are really terrible at what they do they should not be working in their position at least learn how to tell your customers whatHappening so we’re not just sitting there blindly wondering what’s going on and then ultimately driving off...
Read moreI stopped by to use my Birthday reward (first time to Sonic). In my order was supposed to be a large onion ring. I ordered ahead thru the app, stopped by, checked in, was handed a stapled shut bag by a very friendly server & told to have a wonderful day. I opened it up, to make sure everything was in there, but instead of my ORs, there was a large fry (which was luke warm btw) instead. When I went back up to get it corrected, the lady who came out was just like, "oh yeah, were out of onion rings". This was 2:30 in the afternoon btw. After staring at her for a couple/few seconds, she then offhandedly asked if I wanted something else instead. Unfortunately, I was running late to pick up my daughter, & had no time to wait for something else to be made. As I'm turning to leave, she apologized. Was it her fault I was running late? 100% absolutely not. However, the situation should've never came up. I was never notified in the app they had no ORs (ordered 15 minutes ahead, & took about 20 to make it to the restaurant), wasn't informed when I checked in to pickup my order, my order was never changed to give me my money back, I wasn't even told when given my bag! Just stapled shut & told to have a good day. Normally, when something is out, you don't sub w/ the cheapest thing on the menu, & hope the customer leaves w/o noticing; you either take it off the order & don't charge them, or upsell for something else (for the same price). I was really looking forward to trying those ORs, & was grossly disappointed
The plus side I can say, the corn dog & cheese sticks were super good. The fries may have been, had they been fresh, but old fries don't compare to the ORs I ordered, & wanted. Gotta say, not a great first...
Read moreIf Google would allow me to give zero stars I would. Service is horrendous. I went through the drive-thru one evening and got in line about 10:45 PM. My order was a meal with a coke and two Sonic Blast's, very simple, right? WRONG! First off there was only one car in front of me and one behind me. I waited behind the front car for about five minutes. After getting to the window, the greeter hands me my two Sonic Blast's and takes my card without saying a word. She hands my card back to me moments later and still says nothing. My food comes up to the window and she sticks her arm out, not even out the window, and expects me to grab the food. I literally have to take off my seatbelt in order to grab my food. She still hasn't spoken to me. I reach out and grab my food, but she forgot to hand me my drink. I sit at the window for at least another ten minutes. I repeatedly honk my horn and knock on the window, but SURPRISE SURPRISE there was no response. Now, I could see at least five employees standing around the ice cream maker doing God know's what, but none of them even looked back at the drive-thru window. I got fed up and drove around to one of the drive-ups. The woman who comes over the intercom was very rude. She shouts at me, "Sorry, we're closed." I then explain that I waited in the drive-thru for ten minutes for a coke. A COKE. Something that takes 5 seconds to make. She then takes thirty seconds or so to respond and she says, "Sorry, we're busy right now, you'll have to bear with us." Now, when I left the window it didn't look like they were busy at all. I was so mad I just drove away. When I called and asked to speak to a manager she was very rude. Eventually hung up on her too. 0/10. Do...
