Emily I’m sorry your tip suffered.
Providing the service of waitress is just part of a good tip. The other part is treating all parties kindly and treat them respectfully. We watched how one of us was treated so kindly while the other as blown off. You were snippy at anything asked with a condescending frustrated reply. You kept standing nearby with frustrated actions because we was still there eating. Nearly our entire time. We had time for one bite when you asked how things was but only cared about one of our answers. So then you took a broom and dustpan sweeping the same spot right beside us 4-5 times whacking the seat behind me. In a near empty restaurant. Seems we was holding you up. Remember young lady, we paid for a meal and service in which you failed to provide kindly to us both. We were both kind and thanked you repeatedly when you couldn’t be kind back. The eye rolls and irritation was seen and felt. Leaning against the doorway putting your head in your hands rubbing your face as you slide down the doorway to the kitchen shaking your head screamed irritated. I no more set my fork down and you are grabbing our receipt. Not out dirty plates but your tip.
We have been here once since the 2020 pandemic. Your actions did not make us want to come back in fear of getting you as our server.
It is not our fault that shift was changing and we held you up. Next time refuse to serve if it’s time for you to go don’t take it out on customers holding you up.
We did not pay early due to that stops us from having service however may as well not had it as to have it ruined with poor attitude.
The tip was more than deserved. And at least half of what it could have been. Great service gets 20% or more than 20%. I was more generous than my better half was going to give.
I hope you have a better week...
Read moreThis place was pretty good. I got the steak burrito and my wife got the chicken. The steak is very tender and tastes good, but the rest of the food was pretty bland. This might sound weird, but for me, it was too much steak and not enough cheese and other ingredients inside. I think the fajitas might be better, but that's just a guess. Or maybe adding some queso to the top. Anyway, I thought my wife's chicken burrito was better and had more flavor to it. The more I think about it, for the main course I think I would have been just as satisfied with a Chipotle bowl or burrito. They also didn't have horchata and the lemonade taste like it was Minute Maid from the fountain (I'm kind of picky about my lemonade). My kids got cheeseburgers and mac and cheese with a side of fries (they haven't quite ventured out as much with food). They were the typical burger, mac and cheese, and fries you get most places. Nothing great but not bad. The exceptional things were the service, desert, and the bathrooms (I'll explain more). Emily was our server and she was fantastic! She was interactive with our kids, brought out extra chips and salsa without us needing to ask, was on top of the refills, and just all around a wonderful server! The tres leches cake was very good and my wife absolutely loved it. It was huge! The bathrooms were very clean and I loved that one of the stalls has it's own seperate sink as well as baby changing station. Sometimes mens rooms don't have changing stations at all and is very frustrating. The changing station also actually had changing table covers, which is rare because 99% of the time my experience is that they never have any left. In the end, I would be willing to try some of the other foods here but it's not a place I will be rushing back to or drive out of my...
Read moreI went here for the first time yesterday, and had placed an order to go, once I got to the restaurant. I ordered their flauta's and the only thing I asked, that was different from the menu, was to leave all sauce/cheeses/pico etc. off of the flautas. About 20 minutes after waiting for my to go order, someone (female from the kitchen) came out and said there was some confusion with my order and asked if I requested the sauce was to be left off the top of the flautas, and I told her yes and that I wanted them crispy and therefore, no sauce on top. She told me no problem and they would be right up. I watched people that were in line with me (when I got there) that were sat at tables for lunch, while I was still waiting for my order to go, be done and leaving. I also watched the manager come to the front to interview a person for a position and then also provide a customer with two $25 gift cards, and asked if I was the one there to interview with him. Honestly, an hour later, the women from the kitchen came out and apologized for how late it was and said she gave me extra chips. She then charged me the full amount! I will say that the chicken was nicely flavored but there was no evidence or taste of cheese in the flauta's!! It was supposed to be served with pico, gaucamole and sour cream, which I got none of them. I did get the ranch/jalepeno and salsa. To me, this is not how you treat customers, when you were the...
