Curl Market at the Ohio State University is a popular dining location for students and staff alike. Located right off of high street, this dining facility provides many different “cuisines” as well as snacks and packaged goods. There are two main entrances to this location, each that has a stair and ramp access. This building is over all very accessible in a variety of ways. The open layout of the different food hubs make it easy for all individuals to access what they would like to eat. The main door can be automatically operated via a button, and the hallway is wide enough for wheelchair access. However, the second door, used as the entrance only option during this time does not have an automatic function. Although individuals cannot currently order and pay inside the restaurant (due to COVID-19, only order ahead is available) the menus clearly state what types of allergens are in different food products. Curl Market is also a peanut and tree nut allergy free dining location Regarding other dietary needs, there is an extensive process of addressing an allergy needs. Similarly, there is an elevator (currently closed) that goes to the second floor (also currently closed) where there usually is additional seating. Despite the overall attempt at providing access to all individuals, there are some inhibitions of this dining facility. Some of the menu items are written in small print, which may make it difficult for an individual with vision differences to access the different products. With the emphasis on order ahead pick up during this time, the pre-order function may make it easier for individuals who are deaf communicate through ASL to pick up their food without a possible language barrier. Another way that access could be improved is the seating availability of the restaurant. Located on the left side of the building, a small section for seating is provided for dine-in. Although these seats are now properly socially distanced, I remember when the tables and chairs were sparsely spread out, and even individuals who do not have disabilities of mobility struggled to move freely, especially with the presence of many students’ backpacks and other items. Before the coronavirus outbreak, condiments and utensils were self-serve, and located in an elevated location, which would make it difficult for individuals who use wheelchairs to access. Similarly before COVID, Curl Market often played loud music and most food was prepared just behind the counter, which may make it difficult for people who have sensory sensitivity and vocal disorders to order their meal. Over all, Curl Market is a great place to grab food and some snacks any time, especially between classes!

Dude Curl is the best, these homies gave me MUSTARD and MAYO on my sammich when they don't even carry it in their sandwich station. They go ABOVE the call of duty to be the best that OSU has to offer. They also invented some dope sauce for me so thanks Curl you're the homies

Ordered a sandwich and ended with chicken overhead pressing my bread. I believe the contents of the sandwich should be INSIDE the sandwich, but hey some people consider a hotdog a sandwich so who am I to judge?

I in Houston but still find myself walking all the way to Neil (15-20 min) over eating atrocious Curl food. Indian is legit orange dyed water over rice. Pasta is passable but lack of any variety and small portion size makes me dislike it. Burritos are horrible - just go to Chipotle instead. Sandwiches are probably the best thing they have (2/5) but you can't really mess up sandwiches. Sushi is well ... what you would expect to be from a landlocked state. I was overjoyed when I saw that they added Japanese curry to the sushi menu until I had it for the first time. Curry somehow tastes worse than store bought box curry and the sorry excuse for katsu comes right out of some fridge under the counter. If you think anything they make is good, I genuinely feel sorry for you.

Ironically the only good food in Curl is anything they don't make. Ice cream, protein shakes, chocolate, and brownies...

During our visit to The Ohio State University, my wife, daughter, and I decided to have lunch at the Curl Market. A couple of years ago, my son had had a pasta dish at this place, so my daughter ordered the same cheese-filled Tortellini with pesto sauce. I opted for a Mexican rice bowl, while my wife chose the same Tortellini with marinara sauce.

The friendly manager noticed our red folders, indicating we were visitors, and took the time to explain the menu and how to navigate the selection process. This personalized touch was greatly appreciated, and we found the quality of the food to be exceptional.

The pricing was reasonable, making it a convenient option for lunch or dinner right on campus. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting The Ohio...
