I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my life, but nothing hits quite like Goodfellas. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that old-school, East Coast pizzeria vibe—dim lighting, Sinatra playing faintly in the background, and the smell of garlic, dough, and oregano in the air. It’s the kind of place where you know the pizza’s going to slap before you even take a bite.
I ordered a classic New York-style cheese slice and a specialty pie—the Wiseguy (pepperoni, sausage, and hot honey drizzle). Holy. Crap. The crust was perfectly thin and crisp on the bottom, with that chewy, foldable texture you dream of. The sauce was tangy, rich, and clearly homemade. And the cheese? Melted to golden perfection.
Every bite was a masterclass in balance—no grease puddles, no overpowering toppings, just solid execution and top-tier ingredients. Bonus points for the Wiseguy Lounge in the back, where you can take your pizza and pair it with a smooth bourbon or a craft cocktail. It’s the kind of hidden gem that feels like a reward for knowing the right people.

Read moreI ordered a pizza on what seemed to be a pretty quiet Thursday evening. They quoted me a 30-minute wait time, which felt reasonable given how slow the place looked. Unfortunately, it ended up taking over 55 minutes—and that was on a slow night. The service was just as sluggish, with staff seeming disorganized and not particularly attentive or friendly.
If it takes nearly an hour to get a single pizza when the place isn’t even busy, I honestly can’t imagine how they’d handle orders on a weekend or during a rush. It’s hard to see them getting anything out the door in under an hour on a moderately busy night.
As for the pizza itself—it was just okay. Nothing terrible, but definitely not memorable, especially considering the price. It didn’t feel like a good value for the money, which makes the long wait and underwhelming service even more disappointing.
There are definitely better options in the Short North area—places that offer better food, friendlier service, and more reliable turnaround times. I'd recommend checking out some of...
Read moreHad the most wonderful experience here on a VERY late Night in Columbus as two concerts got out at the same time and mass amounts of concert patrons Were all looking for the same thing... something to eat!!
The staff could have been overwhelmed quite easily, but they kept their composure and brought out pizzas as quick as they could to accommodate everyone who continued to pile in, Even though they were closed at midnight!! They actually stayed open to feed as many people as possible...
Im sorry i dont have all the names of those who worked that evening, but Ben wason of them, and he was spectacular in his pizza making skills and i seriously had one of the best pies ever...cooked to perfection.
Thank you Goodfellas for making what could have been a disaster into truly a feel good moment in keeping everything and...
