Read moreHaven't been here in awhile. My first disappointment was the menu. All of my favorites were gone! The prices were atrocious! Small apps for $14 or more? Happy hour "discounts" them slightly... $8... for a half order!!! Meals all over $18?! The "meal for two" was $55!!!! That only comes with ONE dinner!
Let's talk about this visit... Place was about half empty. Got busier as we sat, but certainly not busy. Waiter took our orders pretty quickly. Two half apps, a soup ($7 for a CUP), honey chicken and a sushi roll.
First out was the four tiny dumplings. He poured the sauce around the plate. So if you wanted sauce on your dumpling you had to dip it back onto the serving dish. Then the soup came out maybe 5 minutes later. Another 10 minutes and the calamari came out. Why would they not time things to come out together?
There was a soy sauce container on the table. Son went to use it and it was empty. About 15 minutes later the waiter reappeared with my sushi. I had to ask for a sauce cup, and of course some soy sauce. Waiter disappeared for another 10 minutes and came back with a sauce cup and soy sauce. He apologized that my son's food wasn't out, saying that since the sushi is an app, that's why it was out first. We already had our soups and apps. The sushi was obviously not an app. It was ordered when my son ordered his meal. Whatever.... waiter walks away. I go to pour the soy sauce and IT WAS EMPTY!!!. We sat for another 15 minutes. Waiter finally appeared again, now with the honey chicken. He said "aw that's nice.. you waited for his food to come out"! No...I was waiting to get soy sauce. He swore, took the container and came back fairly quickly with the soy sauce.
My son's food was good, but the potion size was ridiculous!!! A very small amount. Probably about 1/3 of what they used to be!!!! By now because my sushi say for so long, every piece stuck to the plate and fell apart when I tried to pick it up. The sushi was supposed to have seared ahi on it. 2 pieces showed very slight searing on one edge. That was it. Extremely disappointing.
Now our waiter became attentive. Put the bill down and took our dirty dishes away. We'd barely put the credit card in the bill and he was there whisking it away. Came right back with it. Where was that level of service with our food??
Our bill was almost $80!!!! Incredibly small portions, bad service and aside from the honey chicken, sub par food. The honey chicken tasted good but was super soft. No crunch at all to it.
I fondly remember going here with family and having the best time. No more,...
Read moreSo, worked for PF Changs (Brickell in 2006). Been to PF Changs in Miami, Tampa, Clearwater, Beachwood, Atlanta, and a number of other locations. This one just has horrible service. Went to this one for a second time. 1st time: sat at the BAR, Bartender was more worried about closing down the bar rather than Bartending. Got it! Closing time? Even with that, still gave her a 20% tip. 2nd time: Waited about 10 to 20 mins before a server came over to the table. Server comes over takes the drink and appetizer order but decides to serve other tables on the other side of the restaurant and get the other tables, she was already serving their refills for water, meanwhile still waiting for my beer and water. Servers, I mean about 3 or 4 of them notice that there is no drinks on the table and the menus are still down on the table, but say NOTHING, just glance over and keep looking straight. Definitely was intentionally done. Got it! No team collaboration for the sake of the customer (patron). Got it! Only person who did was the Hostess with blonde hair and glasses, the only one who showed some concern. Wow! Thank you! Tell her that a server got our drink order. But waited another 10 minutes after that. Then decided to ask for a Manager. Had to ask on three occasions for that. The other hostess comes over and tells me that the manager is on the way, tell her what is going on but she does not offer to do anything about the water and beer. Now every other table has there drinks although we sat down before them. Got it! Decide to leave, ask the hostess again, to speak with manager as I'm leaving. Manager finally comes over, Im like what were you doing hiding in the corner with your other servers and waiting for me to leave? He did tell me that he would get the drinks, but pretty much too late now, the thrill is gone and experience is horrible. Probably best to have came over when requested the first two other times. Here is a novice idea; Exceptional service = exceptional tipping! Exceptional service = customer...
