:::::: Warning Do Not waste your time or money in this place. I was so excited to go to this place because I went to a similar place in Easton. We live in Dublin so this is closer and I was hoping for a similar experience. I was wrong! We has reservations and it was cute when you walked in rose petals on the ground filed my excitement even more! Get to the table are server was I believe Silas he was polite gave us the run down we turned are placers to green and waited and wait it took 30 minutes to get on little piece of meat ten minutes later pork sausage. At this point I’m not trying to ruin Valentine’s Day for me or the person that was there with, but they made it very uncomfortable because we weren’t in the services that we were entitled to. I asked for a manager four times before One came to the table. I also asked to employee Leanne with a short staff tonight and she asked me no why and I’ll let her know that we didn’t receive any type of meat on our side and she immediately went and got a manager but that manager never came to the table. she just looked around the room 20 more minutes past and then we got a manager named Candy. They stopped by. She was very sweet she said either your plaque for your meat is not being seen or what you’re saying is true she’s like give me seven minutes and let me know if anything changes. 12 minutes went by we have four guys come by to be honest with you with the same meat that we were eating all night, we didn’t even get to taste all the meat that they had on the menu. The personnel with does not eat fish. The fish came to the table 14 times so they only got to eat the steak with the peppers and then the pork sausage and maybe one of the chickens that came by the Parmesan chicken but outside of that that was all that we received we asked for a manager of two more times and no one came to the table after we asked for the manager for the sixth time. The guy busting the tables was a God said he checked on us more than our servanted or even the manager after he saw us not getting the service that we just politely asked for he made sure he went around and made sure Man came to us but again we did not taste everything that was supposed to be on the menu again a table beside us asked for their bananas to finish their meal like it was supposed to come with and the guy said I’ll be here be right back that he said oh yeah, we just ran out we don’t have that. I talked to several couples and on our side and ask them when they get the same type of server like yeah they’re really slow and we all got to try two kinds of me Then when the bill came The Man told us in the beginning when we got there, it was gonna be 4995 that’s our Valentine’s Day special it does not include drinks or dessert. I’m like OK say less sign this up when we get the bill. It was $160 with a 20% gratuity added on there and that’s no issue but we didn’t even get our money‘s worth so we paid $75 for like 600 of meat mashed potatoes, rice, and whatever they had that bar you had to serve yourself Again. The management refused to come to the table after we complain multiple times I had to get employees to get our help and again we didn’t get the service we designed so we paid $75 on Valentine’s Day to be disrespected by the management staff and then they saw our intelligence by giving us a $25 gift card talking about oh we would like you to come back. I suggest none of you waste your time or your money there I do not Expect a response from their management team just like I didn’t get a response from them when I was in their face. I am very disappointed in this location and anyone that is visiting out of town to nationwide for concert or blue jackets games do not waste your money at this location if I were you I would spend the extra 20 minutes to drive to Easton to pay less than what they’re charging you for their food and these people are on it the meat the meat man come by every 30 seconds they come by so often you have to tell him no I’m okay. They’re polite their way staff is polite. Their management staff...
Read moreYesterday on Friday, September 19, we went as a group of five adults and a 20 month old baby to Rodizio Grill to celebrate the birthdays of two people in our group. We had two birthday coupons prepared for the occasion.
We arrived for our 6:30 p.m. reservation, and once seated, we immediately informed our server that one member of our group was pregnant and could not eat any meat cooked less than medium. The server acknowledged our request.
We then went to the buffet, where we found that several items were lukewarm. During our first hour at the table, the meat rotation only included spicy chicken, parmesan chicken, and chicken hearts. They brought steak only once, and it was completely rare (just seared on the outside). We politely told the server about this and asked if they could bring medium-cooked meat instead, explaining again that we had a pregnant person in our group. The server agreed and assured us it was on its way.
After an hour and twenty minutes in the restaurant, our server informed us that the birthday coupons automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill. She then dropped the check at our table—without us asking for it and her without offering dessert. At this point, no properly cooked meat had been served yet, and the few that arrived continued to be very rare, not edible even.
When another server came to pick up the check, we explained everything that had happened. She apologized, offered us free dessert, and once again assured us that medium-cooked meat would be on its way. Forty minutes later, a server finally brought out several cuts of meat on an extremely hot tray and placed it directly in front of the baby sitting at our table. The meat was completely overcooked, dried out, and portioned so small that it couldn’t feed our group. Another server came by, questioned why the tray had even been placed on our table, and asked again if we wanted it. Thinking it was some sort of joke, we said no. He then removed the tray and immediately offered it to the table beside us.
We never asked for any additional discounts and ended up paying our bill in full (it did include birthday discounts)
At around 8:30 and two hours later with none of our requests being met, we asked the hostess at the front desk to validate our parking ticket so we wouldn’t have to pay at the garage. She appeared to agree and acted as if she had done it, but when we tried to leave the garage, we discovered the ticket was never validated and we ended up having to pay.
In short, we left hungry, upset and with the worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had, and it completely ruined our celebration. We’re definitely never coming back here...
Read moreYou go to visit a place like Rodizio with some expectations:
(1) To try the many arrays of meats and platters of food (2) Enjoy fun and hospitable service (3) Forget to even notice how clean and comfortable the place is
Our dinner tonight was all of the above and then some with an unexpected visit from a kind and courteous gentlemen who came by our table.
Rhyan who was our main waiter, cleared the dishes and filled our glasses (even the kid cups). Jordan, who was one of the men cutting the meat off the skewers was very polite and showed a genuine interesting in serving us. The rest of the other young men serving our table with meats and fish and fruit were just as delightful. Seriously. Not one was rude. Nor acted in a manner of "I just want to get done with my shift". They smiled, listened, and even tried to have fun with us.
The lady manager, who was most likely there from open to close, was also very hospitable and personable.
Our two little boys are typical boys and don't sit for more than a few minutes and the little champs powered through a 2-1/2 hour dinner with little-to-no fuss.
If "table manners" had a definition it would be "George": •George [jawrj] noun (1) from a Greek word meaning "farmer" (2) best experience at a restaurant. ever. (3) a humble man who can guess your name by the third try
I wish more people would be able to experience the warmth and friendliness we just did, accompanied by a wide selection of food and a welcoming environment (even for parents with kids).
You won't find many places that have a full enjoying experience like my family and I had tonight. Even the bathrooms were clean. That should be a normal thing, but if the bathroom in a restaurant is clean towards the end of the night - you know someone is doing their job and has been checking and cleaning to make sure it stays that way throughout the entire day.
George, thank you for a perfect evening. I'm not sure if there was a topic not talked about. And it was real - not just table manners to make the rounds. My family, boys, and I thank you for the meal, conversation, and genuine experience at a fun restaurant. We drove on the way home asking ourselves, "Wait. Did the owner of Rodizio and The Melting Pot actually talk with us?" Thank you for your humility. We hope to bump into you again.
