I had the opportunity to take a stroll through Battelle Riverfront Park along Scioto Trail while having some time to kill at a convention. This park has so much history to see and learn about. We ended up reading and spend a short time in this park and expected to walk a lot further. The park has a lot of green space to sit relax and take the park and it’s scenery in from the view of the river to sculptures, monuments and more. You can also find runners or people cycling along the trail here as it is wide and peaceful. This park is in a great area of Columbus being in downtown and the arena district along the river. It is an easy walk or bike ride from many places and the area felt very safe. We easily could have spent more time here and wish we had. The boardwalk by the river looked inviting, so we decided to take a stroll before dinner. The evening ambiance was enchanting, perfect for families to relax on picnic chairs or blankets spread out on the grass. While our visit was accompanied by loud music, I could see the potential for peaceful days. The large concrete boardwalk is ideal for biking (which are available for rent).
