As a person patrizing any establishment of any kind any where I was insulted with the unprofessionalism of the first employee taking my order than running to the back and not submitting h my order. Secondly, another employee comes and retakes my order to only get it completely wrong. The set up was very nice and was familiar to me so atmosphere wasn't bad until the employees displayed unprofessionalism acting a bit funny. The wait was not too long had my order been correct and fresh.I asked for pounded yam which is closer to white in color it was it was mixed with something .How did they not know I had no food allergies and I asked for my swallow to be pounded yam with my egusi soup with mixed meat.I also got extra dry week old looking fried chicken inwhich never has my egusi been prepared like that here in America or back homeland.Lets not forget my spinach or leaf soup that had none in it but plenty hard meat from maybe 2 days ago or more. Those plantains were so dry ofcoarse pics are on this review.I always do review good or bad so that is why I started taking pics in the beginning never to regret coming in that awful place Its just wrong to treat people so unwelcoming and they come to your place. If I could give a -100 o trust me I would. Not sure who the owner was but he needs new staff and cook. There was one short nice finegal with a pink glittery hat she needs to be training the others on their people skills and customer service.I did not pay my friend paid as he said he didn't want to look bad if any one any how any where will b an embarrassment it has to be the owner .Yes I am west African 🇹🇬 to be exact and I think with the treatment alone I will never go in places like this...
Read moreA friend recommended this place to me and was willing to give it a try however the man who answered the phone quickly made me loose any interest at all in this business! He was very condescending with his remarks.. I did my research prior to calling and didn’t find any menus for this location so I called and immediately inquired about a menu I could find online so I can take me time to determine what I would want to order and he advised there is no such thing as a menu in their page besides images..this is a business? HOW DUMB?!boldly told me I was wasting his time and that he had other callers he was losing money from by keeping on the line and also people in the restaurant waiting on him! He also stated that I should know what to order because I’m from Ghana ? First of all who even told him I was from Ghana? Or born in Ghana ? How dare you make assumptions about a person over a phone you know nothing about ? To top it off I asked him what kind of protein/ meats game in a certain meal he mentioned something called cow feet and I went ahead to ask if that could be substituted as I DO NOT eat cows feet he blurted out “is it poison “ I mean how RUDE could you possibly be? The AUDACITY! I will NEVER be supporting such a business no matter how great you think you or your business is stay humble and polite because without consumers and customers like myself you don’t have a business and I don’t know and hope to God no one else is tolerating such nonsense and disrespect please take your money elsewhere cause it’s absolutely NOT worth it ! I’m still in shock from this...
Read moreI'm giving u ONE star, will change it IF there is effort to address this concern(that could very much affect YOUR BUSINESS or put u in an undesirable situation). My point isn't to bring u negativity, it's to provide insight. Tonight I came in with my husband, ordered the Red Red plantains/ goat. PB soup/ goat w/ pounded yam. Upon opening beans, I'm overcome by FISH stench! You do NOT provide info indicating that u cook the bean w/FISH!!! Had i know, i would NOT ORDER. U can easily see I'm disgusted by fish!! The$35for the 2 meals is 100% equivalent to throwing my money in the trash because you also fry the PLANTAIN & GOAT in the same oil as the FISH!!! Can u imagine if McDonalds use their fish fry oil to cook FRENCH FRIES?? That's a standard DO NOT DO! Repulsive&horrible. So this leaves me NO dinner and wasted money. Now, since I've been married to a west African man 20+yrs, I'm aware Africans tend to cook as such. Although u serve mostly African people, u must realize as a public offering u never know who u will serve. What is going to happen if one has an allergy to fish and unknowingly eats and has a reaction? That's going to be trouble for u since u have regulations. Nobody wants that. Please update your menu &state EVERYTHING that's used, even if it's small. And please, use fish oil for...
