The Dish African Restaurant — Restaurant in Columbus

I have been coming to this restaurant since when it opened, I like the food and all that, but the service has been going downhill everytime im there, I'm a restaurant manager myself, I oversee 65k store a week with about 30 employees, we treat every customer special and we makes sure by time they leave they are happy, I placed my order today at 1:25pm I ask them how long will it take, the guy told me it will take 35min, I went there after 45min, they told me it will take another 15min before the food is ready, I went out to my car and came back in after the 15min, they told me to wait for 5min, after my food was ready, a lady standing next to them she doesn't want to wait, they asked her what she want and she said she will take anything they have, and they gave her my food, while was trying to tell girl behind the counter that is my food she was busy charging on the credit card machine, then after wards she asked me what I was waiting on, this is the most horrible service I have ever experienced. I walked out with out, I don't think I will ever go back to this location again, last two weeks I had to wait to 45min to get my order, I mean what what is the goal here to upset...

Ordered the goat waakye and a meat pie for lunch today. I love African food. I seek it out anytime I'm in a big city, and Columbus has a lot of really good African restaurants.

This place was solid, albeit the protein itself was disappointing. The meal was delicious. The rice and beans were full of flavor. The salad was fresh, and I love their sauces.

The goat meat itself though was rubbery and tough. I know goat isn't going to have the same consistency of a steak or chicken. But I've had a lot of goat throughout the years, this was the toughest to eat.

I had to chew so much my jaw was actually exhausted by the end of the meal. My buddy however got the chicken and he said it was just fine. So I'll go that route next time.

The meat pie was a little light on the filling. But it had good flavor, and the pastry was so flaky. I am very satisfied with it.

My review of Fufu Goat

I did not like this food at all. I have never ordered a goat dish as pungent and stinky as this. it Smelled like a goat farm. goat was gamey and the cuts of meat looked like they gave me everything between the knee and the hoof. it Smelled and tasted like billy goat musk. the fufu Smelled like cigarettes and tasted like them too? not sure if that's how it's supposed to taste, but I couldn't eat this food at all.
