Shane's Rib Shack — Restaurant in Columbus

I was served a RAW burger. YUCK. I understand that some people may prefer their food at lower cooked temperatures, but that isn’t my preference!

I’ve eaten at this location several times before, but this time it appeared to be going downhill. I ordered online, and received my meal rather quickly. The guy who bagged my food was very polite, and gave great customer service. After getting home and biting into this sandwich, I found it was raw, and I was disgusted. I contacted the store immediately to see if I they could note my name, so that I could receive the same meal (cooked thoroughly) the next day since I had been inconvenienced.

I spoke with a young woman who was very, very rude. I told her my concern calmly because I understand people make mistakes. However, I could tell that she was irritable ( I remembered seeing the young woman at the counter when I received my ordered, and she wasn’t friendly). She ended up putting me on hold to get the managers’ say in what to do. She proceeded to tell me to come back to the store so they could give me my meal over again. Their store closed in less than 30 minutes, and I refused to leave back out for the evening. So, again, I questioned leaving my name, so that it would be known that I would come the next day for a correction to this matter. She proceeded to tell me that it didn’t matter what I did, and she stated, “I won’t be here anyway”. Her statement was VERY upsetting. This location should be mindful of who they consider hiring and how they are servicing their customers. I say this to say, check your food and be aware of what you are consuming/how your food is served when choosing...

I've been SO hopeful that this location would get it figured out. Initially I told myself that this is a new Shane's location and they are trying to get the staff trained to ensure quality control. Seriously, if you want to enjoy AWESOME ribs go to the Shane's Rib Shack in Newnan. I NEVER miss an opportunity to stop and eat there when I'm traveling to Newnan or even into the metro Atlanta area. Upon hearing we were getting one in Columbus I was ecstatic. The Columbus location will always pale in comparison to the one in Newnan. I've been to our local Rib Shack 4 times since they opened and each time the ribs were significantly overcooked to the point of being dry and bitter. I've had to drown them in Shane's sauce to be able to somewhat enjoy them. Maybe it's because they cook so many in order to make sure they have enough and by the time the sell the last few racks they've just been under heat too long. Maybe they toss yesterday's left over racks in the smoker the next day and get rid of them first. Not sure but Shane's in Newnan has a 100% satisfaction rating with me over the 20 or so times I've been there. Columbus....Not so much. It's disappointing... Good news is - I don't have to drive to Newnan to buy Shane's sauce...

I believe this will be the 4th restaurant in ten years i've ever given one star... the male manager probably early sixties, was one of the rudest and laziest people i've ever met. Everyone was busy in the kitchen and one girl was working the register. She did great. He just was scrolling his phone, taking up a booth and well, I'll leave it there, but after he finally got (7 minutes). He proceeded to almost cause a physical response for me. Such a good staff have such a terrible person there. This isn't my first time there, but it's certainly my last. DO NOT PICK UP IF UBER EATS, DOORR DASH, ETC... I drive in the evenings and He INSISTED YOU to sign the receipts where the tips are ( do not do this)... you can be convicted for fraud because he could write a tip in for their credit card... Avoid this place at all cost. Your job is to confirm it on your phone with the company you work for... He is asking you to risk your job. If you leave with your signature on that receipt, he can write in anything he wants, and you will be responsible, only use your app and know your rules. Stay away from this place. Those poor girls look miserable, and I know why. Ten years... less than 10- 1 Star reviews for restaurants. Over 2,000...
