Let me begin by saying that I am a conservative white Christian, and to make it worse I was born and raised and lived in the south my entire life. I however I believe that love is for ALL! Being that I travel for work I have been all over the country and have been to many bars but this one takes the cake! I’m literally sitting here in dirty clothes (moving for 2 day’s) socks, sandals and enriching I could do to look horrible and everyone could not have been any more welcoming! I saw a beautiful queen outside on the way to Kroger ( I’ll do anything as an excuse to stop) so I asked if I could get a drink. JAMAL the bartender makes the BEST Moscow Mule you will ever drink! The DJs to the QUEENS are top notch! This place is affordable FUN and the best to come as a stranger...

Went there last night with my partner, one of the guys in charge of karaoke was extremely drunk and kept trying to kiss me and my partner several times after we told him to leave us alone, ended up having to leave early, when we tried to complain we were told by the bartenders that people complain all the time and nothing is done. We'll never go back if this is the kind of people they hire and recommend not going if you don't want...

Each year during February, Southbend Tavern hosts a "Trailblazers After Valentine Party" [with free appetizers and a "cash bar"] for members of the Stonewall Columbus Trailblazers group for LGBTQ+ adults who are fifty and older.
