Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews — Restaurant in Commerce Charter Township

Wow, if there was an option to give zero stars, that would be my option. I usually don't write reviews, however my experience yesterday was just unacceptable. I admit my boyfriend and I got in a little late, although there were numerous customers still dining. We sat down, we ordered 2 burgers and basket of fries. We waited 25 minutes until she brought out a COLD and OLD basket of fries. She was nice about getting us a new one but the fact that it took 25 minutes for those fries to come out cold to us was just ridiculous to say the least. She brings our burgers before the basket of fries and I specifically asked for a well done burger NO PINK. ....I took 1 bite and I could not believe that I just bit into a RAW patty. I am disgusted. My boyfriend was already done with his burger which was fine so I ended up having mine made to go even tho we were on a small date after walking around at auto show for 5 hours. I ended up sending that RAW burger back, and waited another 20 or so minutes for a new one to be made. The manager showed up at our table and said "sorry it will be right out"..... no discount, not even a small free dessert to get us back as we are pretty frequent customers. I've been there many times and this one terrible service is making me think I will probably not visit that location again. The waitress was nice. But the fact that I was made to pay the entire amount without no discount after receiving cold fries and a raw burger and had to wait 20 minutes each time in between blows my mind. BLOWS MY MIND. So, the wife and I had finished a day long project of furniture moving, cleaning and organizing. Being absolutely wiped out, we decided to tap the Door Dash app for some dinner.

Ordered Items: Whiskey River Chicken Burger Monster Burger (No Tomato, no pickles) Towering Onion Rings Extra Steak Fries (the dogs love them some steak fries and we share)

The Good My wife's Whiskey River Chicken Burger was as it usually is, and the wife is a tough critic when it comes to food. She was happy with this choice.

The Bad Tomatoes and Pickles were still on the burger (not a big deal, fingers are good for removing these - it's just a pain) The fries looked like they had been manhandled and thrown in the container by a single handful. Maximum count of fries between the two containers was 20 individual fries.

The Ugly Of the two patties on the Monster Burger, one was halfway charred on the outside, the other patty was still red on the inside (not pink - red). Oh, and the Onion Rings never made it home as well, not good.

Needless to say we will be looking for better options from here on out for American food fare, but this was the last straw, unfortunately Door Dash couldn't do anything more for our satisfaction on what was clearly a rushed and badly assembled meal and can only hope that diners that actually sit there for a meal get better...

Red Robin is by far my favorite restaurant and is always my go to for special dinners. So on mother's day, that is where we decided to go. We just recently moved out to this area so this was our second visit to this location. The first one didn't have great service but figured we would give them the benefit of the doubt. All 4 of us ordered some kind of chicken tender meal. When the food came, all of the chicken looked like it had been cooked too long. I've worked in a restaurant and it's very clear when something is overcooked. They weren't even edible. We ask to speak to the manager who right away gets defensive saying they weren't burnt. They had to change oil because their normal kind was out of stock and that may be why because others had complained that it didn't taste the same either. He offered to cook up some fresh ones for us to try. These were definitely not burnt but still didn't taste the same as they usually do. Not near as good. So another manager comes over and asks us to explain what's different because they "literally changed nothing" he said the oil was the exact same and that only one other person had complained. Both managers were extremely defensive and quiet rude. They did take the food off the bill as nobody ate. It's how we were treated that makes me never willing to go there again. It is by far worth the extra 10 minutes to go to the Novi location where we have always had...
