I AM BEYOND DISGUSTED. IF I COULD RATE THIS WITH NO STARS I WOULD BECAUSE THIS DOESNT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR. I was shopping here for about 30 minutes today (I probably saw only two people in the entire store) and as I walk up to the register to check out there was a line forming behind this old man at the counter. The cashier told the old man the total and he said there is no way.. so she put her head down, typed on the register and then looks up and said another price. The old man said there is absolutely no way.. and so the cashier began to do the same thing..looked up and said another price and he responded the same way then AGAIN she looked up and said $19 and so and so cents. The old man shook his head and said THERE IS NO WAY IT IS OVER $14!!! He took his card out and told her to cancel the transaction and he left empty handed. I was so confused. I walk up and put my purchases on the counter. She says obnoxiously “14$ PLUS 3.99$ IS $19 ISNT IT!?!?” I ignored her and opened my wallet to pay... still beyond confused. She types on her register for way too long (after already forgetting to ring up one of my items and leaving it on the counter).. She anxiously looks up and says quickly “$18.00”. I put my card in, grab my stuff and get in my car and check my receipt. I had to figure out who was causing the problem with the previous transaction.. THIS EMPLOYEE (SHORTER BLACK HAIR IN A PONYTAIL, AFRICAN AMERICAN, SKINNY, ABOUT 5’6) WAS CHARGING THE OLD MAN $3.99 FOR “TAX”. 6% of $14 is .84 cents. I look at my receipt and she charged me extra for tax as well. (not as much as him bc she knew i saw what just happened) BUT THIS WOMAN MUST BE CHARGING EVERYONE EXTRA FOR TAX AND POCKETING ALL THAT EXTRA MONEY. SPREAD THIS AROUND AND GET THIS NASTY GIRL CAUGHT. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. PEOPLE LIKE THIS DESERVE...
Read moreI agree with other reviewers. The girl on the floor was very rude. my father, who is from the south, was shocked at her rudeness. They advertised a case of copy paper for $12.99 after rebate. But they were out of stock. I asked for a raincheck and was rudely told "we don't DO that." I reminded her that bait and switch laws require that she give a raincheck if the item is out of stock. I was referred to the supervisor. He said, "We don't do that because we can order it for you online." That's fine, I said, and we did that. However, no rebate information came up on my receipt. "The rebate information will come with the paper when it arrives at your house," the manager told me. Well, it didn't. I spent almost an hour online with two Staples employees trying to get the rebate filed. Today, I received an email that the rebate was declined due to "all products not submitted." The phone number they gave for me to call if I felt they declined in error ONLY has recorded information. You can't speak to an actual person. ARRRGH! In rebate hell! I called the store and will have to go BACK to the store to take care of this now. Will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Infuriating waste of time. Poor service. Perhaps intentional attempt to defraud the customer with bait and switch advertising. How many will follow through this appalling process to get the price that they made a trip to...
Read moreTerrible experience. I get my mail here from iPostal1. The first time I came in they could not find a piece of my mail. Today there was a piece of mail that was supposedly mine, but it was opened and did not even have my name, or address on it. Someone's mail was opened and it was from the government about taxes and was in regards to a tax refund.
I did not want to take someone else's mail because that is a crime, but I am extremely worried that mail is being opened and things are being taken out. I will be looking for another place to put my mail. The lady working there that first helped me today even took a piece of my mail out and said it had no number on it, but did not even try to find whose it was and just got someone else to help me and it was my mail.
They seem very clueless in this store. I am worried that things are being taken from the mail that people have come to this location. I will be talking to iPostal1 and also Staples Corporate office because this is a federal offense to open mail that does not belong to you. Also, the fact she looked for my mail and then handed it off to someone else while she was doing it was so strange. Something is not right in...
