DO NOT order big appliances from this Home Depot.
With that being said, The staff and managers at this Home Depot have been very helpful in trying to resolve my issue which is why I am giving two stars instead of one. Their third party delivery company is why I’m leaving this review and because my issue has yet to be resolved though.
In april, we ordered a new washer and dryer. We were completely moving our laundry room to a different part of the house so we had to get all new plumbing, electric, and new floors for this purchase. When we were in the store and originally placed the order, we talked to two different employees to make sure that it was going to be installed for us and they said “yes, you don’t have to worry about that”. June rolls around and they deliver the washer and dryer and are heading out the door when I stop them and ask if they are going to install the washer and dryer. They refuse to do so and say that it is not their job (after I asked them repeatedly). Then I look on their website and sure enough it says, “with all large appliance deliveries, it will be installed and then tested and inspected to make sure that it works”. We have already waited a month and half for this delivery and I was very angry.
I call Home Depot and the delivery company and somehow get connected to LG instead and was on the phone on hold for at least 45 minutes. Eventually they apologize and say they can be here in two weeks. Again, even more mad now. My husband goes into the store for 1.5 hours for the employees to be on hold with the company and not being able to figure out a better solution. So we had to wait another two weeks for the company to come out and install it (we can’t install it ourselves because then the warranty is not valid).
Two weeks later, they do not show up. I call the company and they say that we “rescheduled” with no further info. They called the day before to confirm they were coming and I said that worked out great. The day of the delivery I was home all day and never received a call from them and neither did my husband. So then I called Home Depot and they were on hold with the delivery company for a while and then finally got back to me only to tell me that they said we “rescheduled” but apparently didn’t sign up for another date. Again, we never rescheduled, I was home all day waiting.
This time I went into the store to cancel the order, get a refund, and schedule for Home Depot to come pick it up because we are done at this point. I was there for an hour. Long story short, LG has a policy that if the appliance is in your home for more than 48 hours, they can’t take it back. But we never used it because it never. got. installed. So the manager put in a note to LG to see if they would make this one exception for our situation. It took a couple days to get the news from them, but they agreed to it! Finally we are in the clear….
We unfortunately had to wait another 2 weeks For them to come but whatever, we just wanted it gone. We immediately went to Lowe’s and ordered the exact same washer & dryer because we still needed one after all. Home Depot was scheduled to pickup the washer and dryer July 7 & Lowe’s would be here July 9th with the new ones!
July 6 we get a call to confirm they are coming the next day. Perfect. July 7- nothing. Nobody comes. Nobody calls. I call Home Depot all day to try and figure it out and nobody knows. Then they say they should be here the next day (on the 8th). The 8th comes and nothing. They say they should be there by 7pm. At 7:10 I call the store and ask where the delivery people are and nobody seems to know. I am currently writing this as Lowe’s is INSTALLING our washer and dryer with no questions asked. We had to move Home Depot’s washer and dryer out of the way ourselves to prepare for Lowe’s which caused damage to our wall since we are not professionals.
There is still NO sign of when we will get our refund or when the huge object of the EXTRA washer and dryer will be moved from our home. This review is my last resort to get help on...

Home Depot has been the absolute WORST for appliance delivery and installation. What a racket! I’ve had two terrible experiences, and after dealing with them on a dishwasher, NEVER AGAIN. It took about a month and a half and 6 visits from their installers to finally resolve the issue with my leaky dishwasher.
Today was the final straw. They tried to tell me I’d need to remove the countertop myself before they could take the dishwasher out. A kitchen installed by Home Depot, ironically. I told them there was no way they were leaving without it. One guy even attempted to mansplain the process while tugging on the counter and pulling it loose, telling me it’s already loose, which it was not, then he kept jerking on it and I could hear it crack and it’s loose now. When I asked if he had the proper tools to get the dishwasher out, he admitted he didn’t. So, in less than three seconds and with minimal effort, I removed the dishwasher myself. They scurrieded out real fast after that. 💪
I can’t understand why every single person they sent made this seem like the hardest task imaginable. Six different teams, all with the same excuse: refusing to remove it. 🙄 Except that nobody in the whole process really cares that much. It’s so broken their jobs are protected. Unless you’ve got lots of time and patience to deal with this.
Zero stars. Do not recommend.
So now that it’s gone, I get to go through this again. I’m also still...
Read moreM5 and 14 Mile in Michigan Today I asked the staff member after waiting at the self checkout for what seemed to be 15 minutes why do you have self checkout because everybody within an 12-ft vicinities machine required staff assistance. And no one was to be found after scanning my first item my machine said I need assistance after googling why home Depot has self-checkout it simply stated to ensure speedy transition at checkout which is absolute malarkey there is no common sense way that this is helping anybody. I couldn't find anybody to unlock the riddle of my kiosk and the very first employee I asked had no idea what I was talking about and would not tell me where to find somebody this is buffoonery. I literally had four items I spent less time installing the four items then at checkout at my kiosk I am done with home Depot my time is precious you can go anywhere in the store and ask the common sense question about location of an item and they look at you like you're asking for their social security number. 70 to 90% of the staff has absolutely no common sense and no background or education that has to do with any of the trades or hardware. 60% of the staff are very good at playing on their phones in aisles in dark corners there were more home Depot employees in the men's bathroom than there was in the entire checkout of home Depot. And that doesn't just cover this location I've been patient I thought it would get better but I absolutely dread going...
