There is something very special going on here. I'll try to put my finger on it: You walk in to see what you might expect from a hip coffee bar: A nice, clean and modern ambience. A nice buzz from what I would say is a College aged (on average) group of people hanging out and doing their respective work. It's pleasantly populated with the kind of seemingly friendly people that give you the feeling you are "somewhere." You spot a chalkboard where patrons participate in their "thought of the day." Step up, It's your turn to order. The barista seems to take a sincere interest in you, as you are the sharing type. They all seem to be having fun with one another. Within a week, 3 baristas are already calling you by your name. Others have taken interest in your art, but let's keep it chronological here. You order a bagel and coffee and decide to peruse. There is this hallway adjoining the "front of the house cafe" with what can only be described as a massive lounge, slash event room. Tall ceilings, a bar, tables and of course: A full drumset inside a wooden, plexiglass structure. I mean, naturally. Completely normal. Before you can consider what a great workspace this is going to be for storyboarding, screenwriting and editing you films, you hear your name being called from the front. "Jason!" (we'll go with Jason). As you make your way back through the joint hallway you see the big coarkboard on the wall plastered with all kinds of events, culture and services from this budding community. Imbelishing are we? Maybe, but you can tell we really like this place. You pick up your coffee, but come to find out that evrything bagels sold out earlier from a slammed breakfast rush. These things happen. They offer to put cream cheese on what I believe is the sourdough that they do their delicious avacado toast with. You poubt, give the barista some sarcastic sass about it, and eventually surrender as you head back to the "Grattitude Lounge." As you do, you realize that this the old "Tommy-T's" Comedy and Dance Club from back in the nineties! The bouncers were pricks yet you still had good times there (clearly, you are allot older than you look to date yourself in such a way). Pop open your laptop, hack in to the free wifi and get to work my friend! This is fun! You think to yourself: "This would be a great place to have a table read or a production meeting!" Your toast with cream cheese arrives, and theres a second full piece! Just thrown on in, as an apology. Look closer, and two little hearts have been carved into the cream cheese. How can you even be sarcastic now? By the way: It was fantastic! No, seriously! Fast forward to current day. The scene is lit: Around noon. You're waitng in line and everything is in slow motion as one of the baristas waves at you from across the room. You spot a few regulars, and some new faces carrying on, working on god knows what. Will today you finally be the day you take some chalk and add to the thought of the day? Maybe a delicious, full bodied Americano with a splash of cream will decide it for you. And then it happens: A smile creeps up on the corners of your talk box. Don't worry about that. Just let me introduce you to a little thing called Gratitude.

Gratitude Coffee Bar is a hidden gem in Concord, California. It is located in a great spot, right in the heart of the city. The interior is amazing, with a modern and inviting feel. You will feel right at home as soon as you walk in. There is a lounge area where you can relax and enjoy your coffee or tea. The coffee machine is top-notch, and the coffee is always fresh and delicious. The croissants are amazingly warm and soft, and the blueberry scone is super delicious. The poppy seed and lemon muffin is also amazing. The service is great, and the chai is delicious. I highly recommend Gratitude Coffee Bar to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee or tea in a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Here are some more details about my experience at Gratitude Coffee Bar: The location is perfect. It is located in a busy area of Concord, but it is still quiet and peaceful inside the coffee shop. The interior is amazing. It is modern and inviting, with plenty of seating and a lounge area where you can relax. The coffee is delicious. The coffee machine is top-notch, and the coffee is always fresh and flavorful. The food is also delicious. The croissants are amazingly warm and soft, and the blueberry scone is super delicious. The poppy seed and lemon muffin is also amazing. The service is great. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to help you find the perfect cup of coffee or tea. The chai is delicious. It is made with fresh ginger and spices, and it is the perfect way to warm up on a cold day. Overall, I had a great experience at Gratitude Coffee Bar. It is a great place to go for a cup of coffee or tea, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Good place to work/study because of the fast free wifi, outlets, and many tables/seating options. Also good light with many windows and cute plants. Stays open late and is less crowded and more quiet at night. Service is good and generally a friendly atmosphere with the other people around me- lots of people working on their laptops though also lots of people chatting so the noise level was sometimes distracting when I was trying to work. BUT! TO BE NOTED: The food options are overpriced and not that good. I almost bought a “breakfast sandwich” for about $7-8 but once I saw it was a tiny English muffin pre-packaged, I tried my luck with something else. I got the blueberry matcha latte (iced) and the avocado toast. I enjoyed the blueberry matcha latte and would encourage you to mix it up for more sweetness rather than leave the drink in separate layers. As you can see in the pictures, there was barely any avocado on the avocado toast- more like a cucumber toast! And there were hardly and sprouts put on top, which was a bit disappointing. This toast was $11! Come here for the work spot and drinks, not the food. Update: came back and even though I knew I’d be underwhelmed, got the hummus avocado cucumber toast again because I had to get something to eat and it still seemed like the best option. It felt like there was even less toppings on the toast this time! I got the toast around 12pm… maybe they were running out of ingredients? Very sparse toppings for $11 toast :/ I also got a hot ube latte, which was around $8. It didn’t taste much at all like ube in my opinion but maybe that’s because I rarely drink coffee/lattes.
