Party of 8, reservations at 5 PM yesterday. It started well, was seated, our server came and introduced himself right way, offered us bottled water to purchase for the table, brought out our beverages, (a pellogrino, 2 diet cokes, and a mango juice, and goblets of water for all 8 settings) and the included starters, all before the last 3 of our party arrived within 10 minutes.
We never saw him again after that. The food was pretty good as usual, some meats were salty, some were perfect. As the evening went on, it became torture to get someone's attention for water. The food kept coming, but servers were walking by ignoring us, sometimes giving us a look for trying to speak to them. I get it, how would they know that our server disappeared?
It wasn't until later, when everyone pretty much stopped eating that we finally got someone's attention and started to get our water and sodas refilled. I asked for a clean glass for water while the water was being refilled. I was brought a clean empty glass. And he never came back to pour water in it. My sister gave me her glass of water since she got her soda refill. We were never even offered refills on the bread or bananas which we all loved. Some of us didn't get any because we are usually offered refills through the evening, so we thought we could just have some on the next round. That round never came.
My sister and I were celebrating our birthdays. They said we only get to choose one dessert for free. I chose the cheesecake flambe. This one is not free, it's 50% off. So, not only did we get just one dessert for two celebrants, but it was only half off...
The dessert performance was entertaining, as usual, and they sang Happy Birthday in Brazilian Portuguese which I loved. My sister and I got to blow out a candle each. They were little cups filled w/whipped cream to set the candle in.
At the end, I showed a VIP coupon code that gives $15 off the bill. They offered a QR code for everyone at the table to use and sign up so we each get the discount, which was cool.
Party of 8 bill including the 20% service charge, minus the $120 VIP discount was about $705.00. So without the discount it comes to just over $100 per person. Keep in mind, we didn't even order alcohol.
Overall it was a very uneven experience. Would I want to come back? Thinking about the price I paid vs. the experience, NO. It was so uneven. A lot of it had to do with not having a server. For a party of 8?! That guy disappeared after only helping 5 of us. It took 3 other servers to step in at the very end to try to salvage...
Read moreWent here for a 53 wedding celebration. We were super excited. Arrived before they even opened, was the first through the door. We had reservations for 6, told them over the phone that my mom is in a wheelchair and there would be a service dog. As I tried to check I , I was told they had no idea how to sit us and the lady host moved to the next group. So 1/2 my group goes the restroom- the men’s room was so smelly of cleaning products my nephew began to having breathing issues and the women’s was still wet so my sister could not stand without sliding. So then they sat us. Great table! An really nice server comes over and takes our drink order. Our group hit the salad bar and even before flipping our green/red cards to green, the meat men were at our table to serve us. It was great. However, my nephew continued to have breathing issues and so we asked to talk to the manager. He literally agrued at the table that it was impossible for the cleaning supplies to have issues as they had been using them since they opened. My nephew and sister went across the parking lot to BK to use the restroom a second time. We also have my nephew meds in an attempt to stay for the celebration. The meat men kept coming, again still never flipped our cards. They were really amazing at telling us what meat they offered and telling us that they would make a meat that was at the San Jose Fogo du Choa? Not sure how to spell the name. As my nephew barely ate a plate, we decided it was time to leave. We had made this decision before telling any of the staff. The bill was delivered without any offer of dessert or any congrats. We were extremely disappointed with the management of this restaurant. From now on we will travel the 1hour plus to...
Read moreAfter living in southern Brazil for several years, I can't tell you how excited I was to hear that we have a churrascaria coming to Concord.
I'm excited to say, that I was not disappointed. The food here was amazing, the service was quick and professional. The servers are even dressed in traditional Gaucho clothing.
Their salad bar is not quite as extensive as some of the more expensive Brazilian steakhouses, but it has everything you might want. And their quality seems better than a lot of the places I've been to. The one thing that's not on the salad bar that you can request is farofa, if you want an authentic Brazilian experience.
One of the areas that they do go away from traditional Brazilian steakhouses is that they bring two sauces to the table that are not usually a part of the experience. One is a spicy sauce, the other is a chimichurri sauce. Great call. They go extremely well with the meats and I wish they would do this in Brazil as well. It brings in a little of the Argentinian Asado experience into the meal.
The cost for lunch was approximately $30, and worth every penny. I would definitely recommend anyone try this place out. with their competition of the all-you-can-eat meat place. Gen, just down the street, at almost double the price it may cause people to question whether they should come here. I would say come in and at least try it for lunch, and you will see the difference in quality. It's worth...
