Loves Boba — Restaurant in Concord

Edit: reducing stars because I looked at the receipt, and realized the reason it cost more than I expected was because they charged way more than the menu prices. Menu clearly says 6.99 for milk tea, 0.75 for alternative milk. I was charged 7.25 for the tea and 1.50 (double the listed cost!) for using almond milk. Considering it seems to be a new place and the menu is digital, there is NO reason to post one price and charge higher. I'm really disappointed that they're scamming customers out of money by listing lower prices than what they charge.

We had to go to the mall today, so we stopped here for boba. I got the brown sugar boba with regular tapioca and almond milk. I had wanted coconut milk, but they were out. The almond ended up tasting good still, so it was fine. Pros: the milk tea tasted good, and had a nice level of sweetness. Cons: boba itself was very bland, I don't think they soak them in anything (usually boba is mixed with a brown sugar syrup). Love Boba Love Boba is located inside the Sunvalley Shopping Center Concord, few blocks from the food court, and one floor away of another boba place. It looked similar to the boba ice cream place located at Solano Town Center Fairfield.

One of the best decor I have seen. I am sure women or girls would love this, great photo op background as well. The ambiance is nice and cute but the place is small. Some in the menu is inspired by anime. Good customer service, order arrived in a timely manner after the selfie and photo op. The person who got our order is the same person who prepared it, it is a not busy weekday early afternoon.

The coffee smoothie is sweet but so good. It is creamy, sweet but not too much. However the downside is it costs very expensive compared to other bobas which I believe a factor. Spent $10 for one tall slim boba. It would be nice if it is bigger or price a little but lower just like the other competitors.

I love Dubai chocolate and was excited to try the Dubai Chocolate Milkshake here. But $13 for a small smoothie that looked nothing like the photo? Total letdown.

Taste-wise, it was very underwhelming and definitely not worth the price.
