Panda Express — Restaurant in Concord

As a franchise, I used to really like Panda Express. I loved the taste of their food. I quit going to the one in Pleasant Hill for a long time because it felt like the employees there weren't trained to work in urgency, especially with long lines. That one always had a line, no matter what time of day you went there. Anyway, I was going to this one off Concord Avenue for a long time until about a month or so ago. They made the teriyaki sauce incorrectly, as it was actually their orange sauce...but you can tell that the cook(s) tried to cover it up. I brought it up to the cashier, and she told me that it happens occassionally. I get it, people make mistakes. I asked her if they were going to change it out and do it right, but she shrugged and said no. Wow. I'd hate to think that the store manager for this location thinks it's okay to do that. I gave this review on one of their surveys that same day. With that attitude, I'm not sure when I'll come back to any Panda Express. It's bad enough that they don't seem to care too much about cross-contamination when their fried rice and chow mein is always right next to their shellfish choices (I'm allergic to shellfish, so depending on the location, I can't have the chow mein or the fried rice), but when you have an issue like this, I don't feel too confident eating at their restaurants any...

It's 9:19 am. A little early for Panda, I understand...but this locations hours are 9am to 11am. So explain why I am being ignored by every worker, doors are locked and I am being looked at like the crazy person by the staff? Your google page as well as a picture on the side window indicated you should be open. If the hours are not that, they should be changed and your workers should at least come to the door and acknowledge the customer.

Update: Manager arrived and definitely tried to help me. He was very apologetic and offered to make my food for me. I left anyway because my attitude was shot after waiting so long and being ignored. He was amazing, his staff...

UPDATE! I have since returned to this location and things have gotten better. Must have been a different set of cooks and something got left in the pan too long. Came here tonight to get take out. I went to get my favorite the black pepper chicken. When I got home and opened up the container I thought they got my order wrong. It was so burnt that I thought it was beef. It was black. I had to pull apart a piece of it make sure it was chicken. It was not edible. The quality of the food at this place has completely gone down hill. I won’t be returning to this...
