Another update - yeah it's pretty sad that I have to drive down the the Shenandoah location when I want Outback, but they knock it out of the park. Every time I order togo from Conroe, it is wrong or missing something. Every time from Shenandoah, it is perfect. I don't get how one location can be so consistently bad, and a location 6 miles away is just fine. I guess it must be the labor pool in Conroe is just that bad, which would not be surprising...
I guess from glancing at other reviews, I should have been dining in. The to go service, not so much. A couple of months ago ordered delivery (the restaurant failed to mention they no longer used their own people and it was door dash). The door dash person showed up in pajamas and bunny slippers. The order looked like it had been dropped or thrown around on the inside of her car. I took it back to Outback as I didn’t want slop. They seemed surprised but they did accommodate my request. Took me a while to build up my courage and order again. This time picked it up myself. Got home and checked it shortly after and found a salad wrong. Ran back up there to get another. Got home and then realized the sides of dressing and potato toppings were wrong. Ran back up there. Tried calling twice to talk to a manager, who never would answer the phone. Called a third time, this time back to the to go station. The little punk that answered was offended that I could find something wrong with the order, very smug. He even told me the difference between ranch and blue cheese dressing. I’m fully aware of the difference. I had a pretty smug smile on my face when I got him to admit that yes, those are ranch dressings when I needed blue cheese. Didn’t care for his attitude, didn’t care to be put off by a manager, don’t care to EVER spend any money there ever again. Plenty of other places to spend my money at

Read moreThe atmosphere on Mothers Day was great when we got there. Ordered our food, apps, drinks, and then our meals, and it came out nice. Except for the steak that I ordered rare easy on the seasining. Cut into it to find it Medium cooked. Not a bit of red. Sent it back. Waited about 15 min or more when my kids were done eating. The server walked by, and I asked if my steak was coming out soon. Surprise to him he went to look. Came back with it. I cut into it it was med Rare. That's fine. Go to eat it, and there was so much seasoning. I chose not to say anything and asked for a to go box. Worst part of the night, not that I didn't get to enjoy my meal with my kids, but when we paid with gift cards. The server left showed some Guy with Glasses ( part of Mgmnt). My kids (grown kids) saw his reaction like we were theives. He turned over his should with a mean suspicious look several times. He then came to our table to treat us as if we stole the gift cards. Questioning how I got them, who is the person that has these? It was totally uncalled for. I mean, really? You're asking for reasons why I had the gift cards. I would not have gone there had I not been given the gift cards and wanted to use them before I lost them. I would've gone somewhere else for Mothers Day. We go on a Friday evening expecting the place to be packed to rafters and a long wait but being a holiday weekend they were pretty much empty and was seated immediately. From there it went downhill at rocket speed. The waiter disappeared for 10+ minute intervals from drink order to drink delivery to order taking and on. After waiting 20+ minutes for a refill I go ask to speak to a manager. This guys finally moseys his way to the table making excuses of why I haven’t seen the waiter. COULD NOT CARELESS that his service was terrible and paying customer were having to wait not because they were busy and overwhelmed but waiting because our server was nowhere to be seen. After my complaint the people sitting around us all stop the manager as well and still no concern shown. I ask for my check and to go boxes because I just want to leave. The check came immediately however we waited an additional 9 minutes to get to go boxes.
Being that I generally eat here at least every 2 weeks either in restaurant or delivery I will gladly take my business to someplace that employs people that actually care and want to do their job well and not make the paying customers feel like you would rather be anywhere else and we are just bothering your...
