I visited the Cane's Conroe location for the second time today, because I like the food so much. As I placed my order, the employee at the drive thru spoke to me in a very rude and disrespectful manner. She had my order wrong, so I corrected her on my order. As I asked her to repeat the order, she said it in such a fast and mockingly manner she didn't even get all her words out so I asked her to repeat it again, she then repeated it slower before driving to first window. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me- that's fine. I pulled up to first window and the employee there waves me off to go to the second window; when I arrive at the second window I asked to speak to the manager on duty (which she refused to give me her name also). I explained to her that I come from a customer service background and there is no excuse for that behavior, as I AM a valuable customer (second time getting food there today) and the way I had been treated was disrespectful and uncalled for. This is no way to let any employee talk to or treat a customer. Especially considering all the other employees are wearing an ear piece and can listen to that bad experience. This should have never happened and right now I'm sitting at home letting my food get cold, because I am so upset that one of your employees thought it was ok to disrespect and mock a valuable customer. I am a soccer player and I tend to have tournaments and after school practice I thought I would quit so that someone who is more reliable could get a job. I will agree my notice was not so early but I did give a notice in that notice stating I wasnât reliable and also stating I was thankful for the opportunity I was given. They never responded. Mark then called me asking why I didnât show up I told him about the notice I gave he then proceeded to ask âwhy?âI then responded with me having to deal with soccer and then having my schedule mixed up with soccer he then rudely responded saying that it is Sunday and that I have no games Sunday and asked what was the problem. I had no words because of how he was trying to intimidate me with his tone, this was my first job Iâm new to all of this I couldnât express myself to him due to how he came off at me so then he said âgoodluck finding another jobâ I donât know if he meant it sarcastically but it came off sarcastically.    Read moreMost recent update We visited this location twice the week of 4/11, and the food was outstanding. The chicken was hot, fresh, and juicy. The fry oil must've been at a perfect temperature because there wasn't a bit of visible grease on the chicken. Now on to the fries. I'm not a huge lover of crinkle fries, but these were perfect with an ideal amount of salt, slight crisp on the outside and a pillowy middle. I know this review may sound a bit over the top, but it is well deserved. Huge improvements deserve an updated, glowing review.
Original review* More times than not, the fries here are old and soggy. I equate them to store bought frozen fries that have been cooked in an oven. I'm not saying that's the process because it's not, but that's what they remind me of. They're just bad. There's been one time where they were fresh and as they should be. The chicken is usually good, as is the Canes sauce, which is why most of us go there anyway. This just isn't the best Canes in the area.
