I came here 1/30/2021 at about 7:30pm for my birthday. Firstly the wait was 45 minutes. I was not going to make much of a deal of that because they were busy. If you don't make sure, you'll likely be seated with another party, and for the sake of COVID, my party wanted to be seated alone, but we didn't clarify that until more than 30 minutes into the wait.
We waited at the table for a good while before a waitress saw us. We were told they were out of salad that night. Okay that's fine. Got our drinks, took our order. We got usual hibachi orders and 2 sushi orders.
The cook came to our table, checked the order to make sure it was right. Left to check something. Came back and started cooking the rice on the table across from us... The waitress came back and seemed confused. She asked if he checked ours. We explained that he confirmed our order, and started cooking across the way. She tried to ask the cook something, and he waived her off. She went to ask what I can only assume is a manager something. She came back with two other men. The chef started yelling at them and waving the spatulas around. At this point, hot rice went down the shirts of my brother and my son. Nothing came of it.
So he packed the rice in bowls and moved it to our table. He reconfirmed the orders and started cooking on our side. Bare minimum. We got the little onion volcano. He gave a little squirt of water to my son to make him smile because he didn't appear happy. He cooked the food and left.
As were watching, all the tables around us were getting salad, even though we were told there was no salad. Our food is ready, and we never got our sushi. I asked the waitress, and she went to check. She came back and said it was her fault. She forgot to put it in, but it should be out soon.
When the sushi came out, we still didn't get one of the rolls so we just cancelled it. We waited abut 2 hours and ate for maybe 30 minutes. We got the bare minimum of a show, and i chose this place because I love the show. it's my favorite part, and I wanted my 8 year old to be able to have a fun first experience.
In conclusion, They were short staffed so my family and I remained patient through most of us, but by the end we were super upset. No show, only half the sushi, lied to, made to wait forever, and the sheer unprofessionalism of the chef yelling in the middle of the restaurant at others. We really would have appreciated a simple apology or a complimentary something. We all left flustered and I left really upset. Happy Birthday to me...
The whole experience has turned the entire family off to the...
Read moreThe food here is good, however the management is terrible. We have gone twice now on special occasions only to leave with a horrible experience and only “I’m so sorry” offered as help. The first time we were moved tables and then forgotten about. We were there for an hour at our table while we waited for a chef, while several tables who came after us were served. We finally complained and they sent a chef over. This was especially frustrating as we had four kids with us, one of whom’s birthday we were celebrating. Then we went tonight for a special holiday treat. Our kids were SO excited for the show. Our chef came and almost immediately made it clear he was not going to do any show. I don’t know if it was because it was only our family at the table or he was having a bad day, but when we asked if he was going to do the onion tower he threw his hands up in disgust, and then kept cooking. At this point I went to complain and the manager again offered only apologies. I didn’t want that. I had three disappointed kids who were watching all the tables around them get the show they were so excited about. Eventually our waitress told us our meal was covered. We felt like finally the management had stepped up only to find out that the chef was who paid for our meal. While he was part of the problem, ultimately the issue lies with management and they should be fixing things, not him. We refused to let that happen because it should have been taken care of by management, and we paid for our meal. The management is completely clueless when it comes to customer service. We won’t...
Read moreAlways have horrible service. Today I called in an order for an appetizer and one shaggy dog and my son and husband went to pick it up. Forty minutes later, I call my husband asking what happened and he tells me that their internet is down, they ran both of his cards three times and when they didn't go through, they told him to just wait there. My son is two years old and was screaming and crying because he's hungry but they were not able to do anything for a simple order. They tell my husband to go to the bank and get money! I call and ask for the manager and Tina tells me that she's the manager for today and I ask her what she's doing to solve this issue and she tells me "oh we're going to switch who gives us internet". That's all. No immediate action. I work at a restaurant deep in the woodlands and our internet goes down on a regular basis. We first of all call IT and ask them to process the cards offline which takes the card info and saves it to be processed for when the internet comes back or we are able to do it manually. Or we call the customer back to tell them we can only accept cash when they place the order. There were so many routes these people could have taken but instead they made my starving child wait nearly an hour just to tell my husband they still can't give him our order and he was forced to leave. A waste of so much time for nothing. Worst service for food that is not amazing...
