I don’t usually do bad reviews BUT today was one of those days…..I decided against waiting for a table and opted for the bar. We ordered about 10 mins after sitting. It took over an hour and a half to get our food and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. There were three couples that came in after me and my date. One couple had eggs come out and delivered by the chef piping hot and I do mean piping hot like you could see the steam coming off the eggs! We were told our food was given to another table. Then it still took over 35 more minutes for our food to come out. I had a discussion with the bartender. I told her my expectations and it didn’t happen. We didn’t pay for any of our food but the drinks (Lemon Blueberry Mimosas) were paid for. The only thing that came out hot were the breakfast potatoes. The Southern Fried Green Tomato Benedict (seasonal item) was mediocre in temperature and would have tasted much better had it come out hot. The Mardi Gras Omelette was also mediocre in temperature and I know it would have been better had it been hot. I’ve had it before. The sausages that came with it were overcooked. We were given Biscuit Beignets and they were hard and dry. Usually, they are nice, fluffy, and warm. Yes, we ate the majority of the food. We were both hungry. I’d been up since 4:30am. Usually this is my go to spot so I will probably go back. But damnit this ticked me tf off!

I ordered through DoorDash looking for a quick, tasty, maybe a little southern brunch. I ordered the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich -- I love a good breakfast sandwich and one on a biscuit must be even better, right? It was fine, nothing too special. By the time it got to me, parts of it were cold and the biscuit was falling apart, making it difficult to eat without a fork and knife. The sausage gravy and chicken pieces were tasty. I will say that I ordered the sandwich with an over medium egg and it was actually more on the over easy side, which I was thrilled about, but just a warning to anyone else who is particular about their eggs. The sandwich came with a side of fresh country potatoes which weirdly tasted pickled to me and were a bit too salty. I also ordered a 1/2 order of the biscuit beignets, mostly because that’s not something I can find in New York. Of course they were tasty — they’re deep fried and covered with powdered sugar and honey marmalade! But again, by the time they got to me, they were cold and rock hard. Also very decadent, I couldn’t eat more than one. These are probably a better option to eat in-store or straight after pickup instead of having them delivered. Overall, this was fine for a quick delivery brunch, but not something I think I’d order again.

I’ve gone to this location in the past and had a great experience so I was so I was truly shocked by the poor experience me and my husband had on our visit Saturday. The wait was long but that was ok because this is a popular location and we knew that going in BUT after our long wait we were taken to a dirty booth at which time the hostess said let me clean this a bit. First of all please clean the seating BEFORE taking the customer to the seat. You shouldn’t take a customer to a dirty table setting then poorly clean it in front of them. The rest of the place was dirty as well. Trash on the floors throughout and bathrooms disgusting. Now I know people are eating and things get messy but other restaurants have figured out how to keep things together so why not this place. After waiting almost an hour for a seat, we then waited quite a long time for our food only for it to be COLD and rubbery when it finally came out. We made our displeasure known to the manager and she did take $5 off the bill. She also offered to have the food made again but by this time we just wanted out of there. This place was truly a gem when I first started going there but those days seem to be long gone. I may visit another location to see if they are all now trash before totally writing off Another broken Egg Cafe but I have no plans to ever return to this location. This location truly is BROKEN. Note to the owner, CLEAN this place up and please serve the people hot...

There were 4 of us who dined out. we ordered the 1/2 order of biscuit beignets, they were really sweet, as a whole we didn't love them but we didn't hate them. I ordered the cinnamon french toast 5/5, delicious! the other 3 people with me ordered -chicken & waffles (they rated it a 4/10, barely ate their food, felt it was subpar compared to other places..chicken and waffles is their go to brunch item). -Broken egg biscuit sandwich (4/5) liked the meal, however the side ordered was potatoes. they ran out of potatoes so the serving size was smaller which the server mentioned, he did give her a side of grits which was interesting for 2 reasons: 1) it was 8 am, how did you run out of an item when you just opened? 2) while it was kind that he also brought grits, most servers come and speak to the person before making that call. once they had more potatoes they brought the fresh batch out. the pecan coffee was out, so they ordered the caramel which was way too sweet. the 4th person ordered buttermilk pancakes, he liked them but didn't love them. It wasn't too busy since it was 8 in the morning but there were a few tables that were occupied. The service was okay, the server barely checked on us, didn't bring out the other 2 orders of potatoes until mentioned by the table, honestly he looked like he just woke up, kind of out of it. Overall the experience was okay, not an experience to make us...

We waited at least 10 minutes for our our server to greet us and take our drink orders. Then we waited 20 minutes to get a Diet Coke, water, and a mimosa. Sitting on a warm patio with no drinks is not a great experience. We waited about 45 minutes more for our food (standard chicken sandwich and grits bowl, nothing unusual). The worst part was that our server seemed unbothered by our wait for drinks or food. She wasn’t engaged with us or her other tables—like she was going through the motions and doing the bare minimum. A quick check-in to apologize for the wait or say “it’s on the way” would have made a big difference.

She didn’t check on us to ask if we needed drink refills—and we were outside in the heat so more water and soda would have been great. After we finally got our food, she never came back to make sure it was okay. What if something had been wrong? This is Server 101.

She finally showed up to give us the check and my husband asked for a soda to go. She said sure, but came back with the receipts and didn’t bring it.

We come from the food industry and we forgive a lot of things when we dine out, but I’m leaving this review to make sure the restaurant knows it’s got a service problem. Maybe she was having an off day, but if this is the normal level of service, I’d recommend going elsewhere. Unfortunately we won’t be back anytime soon. There are many other options...
