When I asked to use a reusable cup, you stated that 'I can't handle any cups, the health department won't let me.' That is a complete lie, the health department only stipulates that you don't handle the part of the cup that will be consumed from. I can provide a copy of the code section if need be.
You also ADMITTED today when you kicked me out, that it is not because of health code that you don't accept reusable cups, but rather personal policy. So you personally do not want to accept reusable cups. This has nothing to do with our health,, and has everything to do with you not wanting to be open minded.
In summary, you are directly responsible for filling our landfills with hundreds if not thousands of plastic-ware a week. Hope you rest easy with that on your conscious.
My recommendation: Take an extra second and accommodate for the people that have their reusable cups. We only have one planet, we're trying to do our part to lesson our impact. You're no better then the corporates who sold you your single use products if you don't offer an alternative.
In response to you; sure, plant based plastics are maybe a fraction less destructive to the environment. This is not to say that they do not create pollution. The goal here is ZERO waste, Paul. Let's minimize our impact as much as possible.
If you decide to accept environmental awareness and change your policy, then I will gladly change my review. Otherwise this will remain public. I could care less about you steeping my personal tea. My main concern is that you stop being close minded and accept an alternative to single use plastics. Thank you sir. Have...
Read moreNormally I am all about the kava community you guys know me and I speak highly of kava and kratom. Sad to say this is long winded but feedback on the less. I hate to say it, I used to come here all the time when it first opened and even after the remodel. I stopped in to see how it's going and I won't be back. Here's my review.
I am industry and work at another Kava bar. They don't normally do discounts holly said was willing to do a discount when I asked. She wanted proof , sadly my place does paper schedules and doesn't use teams or anything fancy yet. No one answered their phone or texts we all work late nights .. so I didn't bother showing proof just paid what ever.
16$ for a single tea and single shell.
I mentioned a few other places on the beach that offered 50% or even 25% similar discounts and she said very quickly well they're all closed ..... Lol 😅 yeah because a storm not because different discounts. I named a few places and didn't care to want to converse anymore with a snappy attitude that has comments after everything you say kinda person.
The Kava wasn't for me. Idk whats in it? It is not plain kava. The taste to me was terrible I ordered a double and drank half because they serve 8oz at a time didn't take the second one.
Kratrom green Tea is alright. Not bitter or over brewed light taste no flavor. Medium effects instead of strong or light. Good luck and...
Read moreI love this place! I've been around the kratom\kava block, so to speak, and Java Kava Cafe cannot be beaten. They get the gold medal in flavor, smoothness and potency. So, basically everything that matters. If you have a bucket list, you need to add their Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Blast Smoothie to it. When you're finished drinking it, you won't even mind you had to bump skydiving from the list. Skydiving's overrated, this smoothie is not. I love food. Specifically, sandwiches. I consider myself somewhat of a sandwich expert and I have to say Java Kava Cafe has the best sandwiches in the area. The meats are all prepared by the owner. Who's skills with a smoker are second to none. Their pulled pork sandwich is so juicy and tender, you'll realize that all other places simply lack the skill to do what he does. It's kind of sad really. I'm from a large Italian family and JKC's meatball sandwich makes me feel right at home. There's so many more positive things I could mention about this place, but you should experience it yourself. As a matter of fact, stop reading this review, hop in the car and visit them now! P.S. I do not work for Java Kava. They wouldn't let me because they know I'd eat and drink all...
