3/28/2023..UPDATE: THE food Has been good and very less issues. So disgusted with this restaurant right now. I bought the 3 crabs with corn and potato. Some of the crabs were dry the corn and potato was old. I also purchased the crawfish with potato and corn. Some of the crawfish were old, not sure if all are I stopped eating them, the corn and potatoe was on the way to being old. Then I bought a plate of shrimp, didn't know the head was still attached, well they are soggy and disgusting. Made a phone call to informed them with no resolve except bring the food back to replace, are you kidding. This restaurant is not up the street, but I will definitely Not be patronizing them again. It is so sad you go to the places and they cannot take ownership of their mistakes. I know you know the food is old and you should not be selling food from the day before or if it has been sitting a while. I will be making a call to the health department so they can make sure they are doing what they need to do. February 9,2022 went in again to purchase and some of the crawfish were dry, some of the shrimp were mushy as well as the potatoes and the corn was just old and dried out. Not sure what I going on, I believe whatever is not sold during the busy hours it is held until sold. Seafood is not something you can hold long. And besides you have a great season and flavor customers don't mind waiting on fresh food. People pay so 🤷 stop disappointing with over cook...
Read moreWe dined on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait at all. Our server mentioned she has only been there around a month but you never would have known it with the service we received. She was amazing and above everything cared about our satisfaction. It is so frustrating having been in the food service industry for so long and getting servers who just don't care but we were taken great care of from start to finish! We had lots of questions and any she couldn't answer right off hand she found out the answer for us. The spinach dip was great and we got the egg rolls also and enjoyed those, too. The dip was a favorite! I very stupidly didn't pay attention to the description of the pontrartrain chicken dish and given that I don't like olives or tomatoes I was so sad at what I'd ordered but after I slid off the toppings I didn't like our waitress took it to the kitchen and had them fix it up to something I'd enjoy. Even though I'm sure it was annoying and they were busy it took no time and she was extremely nice about it. And it was delicious! My daughter got the kids waffles and I ate over half of hers, too! They were the best, softest waffles I've ever had in my life and I can't recommend them or anything else...
Read moreMy my my. What a hidden gem in the middle of Orlando. From the outside it just looks like your typical hole-in-the-wall. When you go inside, you see all the handwritten signs telling you they charge extra for this, that etc... the menu's are hodge podge together. By this time you are telling yourself it was a mistake to stop here.
But if you stop and take a moment you will notice an amazing thing, although this place specializes in seafood, and mostly of the shelled variety, you will not receive a single whiff of seafood being prepared at all. Actually you will smell almost nothing at all. To me that means fresh seafood.
I typically have the shrimp Po Boy and what a truly amazing thing. Fried shrimp with absolutely no "fried" flavor (clean oil). The amount of shrimp in this sandwhich is amazing. A significantly better sandwhich than Tibby's.
We have also tried the 20 shrimp special, with a potato, corn, garlic butter and cajun spice seasoning. OMFG, I have never in my life had something so delicious.
The Bien something or another soup is also a stupendous affair with amazing flavor from the first to last bite, be forewarned this soup feeds two.
Prices are fair and the quality is...
