In all the years I have lived in Dallas, Georgia I did not check out many restaurants and the ones I did go to were generally very close to home.

A friend suggested that I need to get out more. Soooo we are now taking one day each week to try out resturants. I will try to get pictures of the food and the sites as we begin our gastric adventures.

This week we chose the Pacific Buffet. I had never been to the area of Town Center but my friend had. With two large white stallions greeting us at the entreance my curiosity peeked we enter to find a bride over a pond with water falls on each side. The amount of coins left by other patrons suggested a lot of wishes had been made there!

A very nice young lady led us to a booth very close to where the buffet began.. The seating appeared to have a lot of age to it but it was clean and comfortable.

Dishes were positioned in several areas among the biggest buffet of Asian/American food that I have ever seen.

The serving areas were kept clean and the dishes were all fresh! The buffets had several sections with steamed, fried, sauted, baked and also cooked and chilled. If you are on a diet or have dietary restrictions you will be delighted at all that you will find. My suggested diet is for diabetic and heart healthy choices. There was more than enough to make a dietician happy!

There was beef, pork, chicken, catfish, crawfish and other seafood. There were many vegetable choices cooked and a large salad bar. There was a large selection of fresh fruit and other sweet treats like fudge, cookies and apple pie. I had the apple pie. It was the best apple pie that I had ever eaten. LOL, No it was not on my approved diet list.

In one area there was food ready to be cooked. It appeared that you chose what you wanted and they cooked a generous portion for you. It smelled heavenly!

You could fill your plate with as much as you pleased. I chose to try small portions to then go back for the ones I liked best. There was so many foods to chose from that I started with soup then filled one plate. Selecting another clean dish I went to select more dishes to try. I had to stop eating. There was still so many foods that didn't get to try.

Our waitress kept our drinks filled and table cleared of plates we left as we went in search of more food. Smiling and polite someone was always nearby if we needed them.

This restaurant seemed to focus more attention on the food and service that it did on fancy objects to view. It was comfortable and as I sipped on a final hot tea we relaxed and made plans to revisit the Pacific Buffet.

The price for our lunch was easy on the wallet! It fell in line with what we had paid for several other restaurants. If you go by yourself, with a friend or a large family group expect to have a...

The food and sushi was good. The service horrible. I entered and told the host 6 adults and 2 children! He took me to 6 seater table. I told him we don’t fit and he said he’ll bring a extra chair and high chair and walked away and never did. The waitress came and I explained the same thing and she just stood there. I told her we can sit us at this other area and she moved us and was upset? So the new waitress (Olivia) came and asked for drinks and my niece told her if she can please have a coke. Never brought it. She came back to ask how old my niece was and once again my niece asked if she can please have a coke and they never brought it. We’re getting refilled on water and we told once again a different waitress (Dreamy) for a coke for her. She didn’t bring it. She stayed cleaning other tables and helping other people. 15 min later, she brought her a coke. Olivia and a male waited (I didn’t understand the name started with an S?) would look at are table say something loud in they’re language and laugh “, stair at us, as they walked by. We ignored it but experience already not good. Which I’m not going to leave a good tip on people that aren’t being good waiters to me. I left $3 and before we got all are stuff together to leave the waitress Dreamy grabbed the money and threw it at my sister and told her to keep it. I asked Olivia and the guy waited, what’s her problem and they started laughing and saying stuff in they’re language and I asked for the manager and they said ok and continued to laugh. So I told Olivia are you getting her or do I have to find her and she just laughed. I spoke to the manager and she apologized and said she will talk to them but It didn’t look like that was true. So this is why this...

If I could give less stars that would be more accurate. Took my family to eat here first time, first off the restaurant has a smell that isn’t welcoming almost as if they are serving bad seafood smell. So I grabbed two plates one for me and my four year(for obvious reasons I served her) upon eating before she took bite I noticed shrimp looked off, I grabbed it and it still had the poop vein inside the shrimp meat, I grabbed few more and same thing, my wife at different time grabbed other shrimp either boiled steamed and fried but not knowing I had found bad shrimp. Those shrimp weren’t cleaned either. She also got clams n there was sand inside meaning they had served improperly prepped seafood, upon getting in contact with lady manager she was very belligerent in English as well as native tongue( we all know what cussing looks like no matter language) she admitted no one complained about food preparation ever in 13 years being in business. Also walked them over to the grill section and the worker had no gloves on to handle raw uncooked or cooked meat. She yelled at him in Spanish and he acted like he was oblivious, meaning rest of kitchen staff isn’t trained in clean food preparation. Also the manager admitted too buying and cooked dead clams, but said bad ones could be picked out after being cooked with live fresh clams. Same with shrimp she wanted us to pull our vein and then continue to eat it like it wasn’t any problem. Clearly not knowing cooking bad or dead meat can contaminate rest of the good meat. Sushi wasn’t times stamped as to its freshness and didn’t look fresh at all, tried contacting health inspectors but since it’s holiday they are closed. I wouldn’t eat here ever again very...

First time here, it was quite amazing. They must start cooking at 8 am to be ready for the lunch crowd. There is so much food! Many of the foods were expensive like seafood and beef. Some prawns still had eyes on them. I loved the salad and sushi! I think the price of $15.99 each to be reasonable because of the variety. (June 2024) They had American food, sushi, a lot of chinese style food. They had burritos and food that you could have made to order. The attendants were working hard and cleaning up, walking a lot throughout the whole restaurant. It must be expensive to make all that food. The bathroom was blue with drop ceilings decorated to look like it was a sky! There are two white horses in the entrance. There are a lot of seats to serve many people. There are water fountains when you walk in, like you are walking over a bridge. It was a relaxed environment. You can see them cooking the food on big huge grills. There was a lot of fruit and ice cream and jello. I could not eat any dessert. I didn't want to be too uncomfortable. You could stay there all day and eat and take your time.

It was a decent place to eat with family and friends. The service was exceptional at the time me and my family went, the place was clean in the dinning room area, the food looked fresh and appealing, the sushi section had a good selection to choose from. The food on the line was good but with there were more choices to choose from. Some of the food tasted better then other places I've been to but most of it was the same. The hibachi section looked a little funky with the raw beef sitting in a pool of blood so wasn't appealing in that section. The sushi area had was nice and well maintained with a good selection but no cards to let you know what was in the rolls and some of the rolls looked alike. The service was on point in that I didn't have a table full of empty plates or empty cups, they kept up with the table an made sure we were OK. All in all it was good time and a good place to go back to an eat again.
