Where to start! First off, one star is way too generous for this place. The line at the drive-thru was too long for me, so I decided to go inside. Where I stood waiting to place my order. The two line employees looked at me with vacant stares and said nothing to me. I did over hear one of them say the gravy looked bad and the manager on duty dismiss his concern and said to put it out. Then she looked past me several times, before taking an order from from a delivery driver and chiding them for not coming inside to pick up their order. When she finally acknowledged me, it was to tell me that I had to go thru drive-thru. I said to hell with that. Went back to the Fairfield Inn around the corner to get a different order from my girlfriend. She said she wanted Burger King. So I drove over to the one at 1310 E Spring St, Cookeville, TN. All told, 20 min. round trip, INCLUDING and apology from the cashier at Burger King for KFC's ineptness. When I passed back by the KFC, a car that had not ordered when I left, was still 2 car lengths from the drive thru window. Sad, very very sad. If you have only THREE people working on a Sunday, put those 1 1/2 pea brains together to put out some signage to inform the public. That the lobby is closed, or just close the store for the day. Heck, Chik-fil-a does it. Oh before anyone says, they can't get help, the McDonald and Wendy's nearby has help. The Chik-fil-a not only has help, but their lines are longer and they are faster, their managers train them, and they have customer service skill. But this time was the only time the dining area was clean, even before COVID, and there was no homeless people sitting around. Come on Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers Restaurant, I'm looking forward to anything over KFC. Go to Publix's! Go to Popeye's, Go to McDonald's for your chicken, Just don't go...
Read moreThis was by far the worst experience I have EVER had. My boyfriend and I went a bought two buffets.. Well when we were ordering the girl upfrnt said that the chicken would be of the buffet soon we said that was fine. We sat FIFTEEN to TWENTY minutes and we go up to the counter and tell the lady behind the counter there was nothing on the buffet and what was there was AWFUL. She then proceeded to tell us oh well you have to come up here and get it after a certain time.. I was like okay, you should probably learn to tell your customers that, because there are atleast fifteen people WAITING on chicken, biscuits, mashed potatoes, etc because what was on the buffet was OLD. Well we got our food and went and sat back down and ate. Well come time to leave I had to order my grandfather and the rest of my family some food.. I ordered a 12 piece family meal. The girl behind the counter bagging my order was putting my chicken into the bucket with OUT gloves on.. She then got an attitude about being told that I want her to throw that away and get some more with her gloves on.. Now mind you they had TWO hours left before they closed.. There was no need to be shutting down everything that early. I understand pre-closing all to well.. Yes it happens, but you ARE supposed to inform your customers what's going on before you start breaking everything down which kind you they hadn't even started breaking down the buffet yet at all! This was an awful experience and I'm not coming back for a very long time over this! Then cme to find out I get all the way to my grandfathers house and they DIDN'T PUT THE COLESLAW IN THE BAG! I should have checked but was sooo mad at that point I left before I...
Read moreI tried to come here twice, and both times, they couldn’t give me what I ordered. I ordered a 8 piece bucket of chicken (dark meat)over the app. I’ll made sure to call ahead. The first time, they told me they only served crispy chicken. They said it was too much work to make original chicken. Even though that’s not what I ordered, I said that was fine and waited on them for about 20 minutes. When I got there, they said it would be $20 dollars, and wouldn’t honor the online price. I offered to order it online instead, and they refused. Then, when I said I’d come back another time instead, the younger drive thru worker slammed the door in my face.
The second time, I ordered the same thing and paid online. When I got there, they said they were out of dark meat and could not give me a refund. They said they couldn’t give me white meat either, unless I waited 18 minutes. They gave me a phone number to get a refund that did not work. No one answered, and I was on hold for quite a while. I asked if they could possibly ask a restaurant nearby to make it, offering to drive. They said no.
I’m a pretty understanding and patient person, and have worked in fast food before. However, this experience was absolutely ridiculous. I would talk to the manager, but I’m pretty sure the manager was causing all the problems. I’m not trying to be rude, I just wanted to be respected and treated like a valued customer.
If you’re considering buying KFC in Cookeville, go to the...
