FOOD: Any and all chicken products we ordered, (chicken sandwich, a large variety of wings) came out great. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The fries however....completely raw. I don't know if someone was new and training on fryer, or just in that big of a rush to get orders out (place wasn't that busy) but the fries themselves were absolute mush. So much to the point that when I finally got home I turned the airfryer on, tried cooking them at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. They were still limp and very moist. At this point I gave up cause I had already finished the rest of my meal and the experience left me aggravated enough.
SERVICE: I understand the place is new, people are training. I also understand that Wingstop doesn't just keep food ready on hand. That it's made to order. So the wait time isn't an issue for me. (15-20 min) However the cashier seemed very unsure of everything while we ordered. I even asked about online ordering to which I was told is working and they've done some from online. Only for me to tell them I attempted to do so while at home, and was greeted with a message saying it's not. Upon receiving my order, they initially only gave me half of it. Luckily I had it in my mind to double check it all. 1 bag for nearly $50 seemed not quite right...
ATMOSPHERE: The only redeeming quality this location has, is that it's located at Eagle Pointe. Where other shopping and establishments reside. Other Wingstops that I've been to always had the soda machine that let you customize by adding flavor shots to the different drinks, they were more decorated, they created a setting that you could get comfortable in. This location looks...bare. The tables so sparsely strewn about, the random 1 single bench for waiting for an order. The TV's so insanely high up with no possible way to hear the volume of whatever is on. And the giant floor to ceiling windows with no sun shades that blinds you as you wait/try to eat. Even the employees were shielding their eyes trying to ring up customers.
OVERALL: Just....not a good experience. There's plenty of other places to get wings and fries. I don't really see any reason as to why I'd come back. Perhaps one day if the owners/manager started being a bit more attentive to the place, if they have a really good sale, and if reviews pick up showing that these growing pains have passed. Till then, I'll just go to Publix and make my own at home. Or head to "It's Just Wings" for a simpler,...

went back in December of 24 and was very pleased with my experience. Fast service. Manager out in lobby greeting. More then one individual was walking up to the counter and food was done quickly and perfectly to order.
Moved to 3 stars instead of 1.
ORIGINAL POST 30 minute wait for just 2 large fries and a side of ranch... - Unacceptable performance from a chain restaurant.
Went to Publix and got chicken - then went to Wingstop because we wanted their fries with it. Odd combo I get it, however never did it cross my mind that a simple 2 large fry order (no chicken, JUST fries) would take 30 minutes, and set my fresh chicken I got from Publix back so far.
Staff made almost zero effort to get my order rushed after I asked about it at the 20 minute mark. The front desk person seemed so out of it, had I not been irritated at the wait it would have been almost comical or entertaining. Countless people passed her register and it was just the lowest level of effort, combined with a constant stream of "Opps sorry I'm not all there today" time and time again. Orders stacking up behind without looking at them in-between customers lead others there to also have to sit for excess time before they were called, all while their orders sat. Friendly banter between employees I'm sure is nice during down time, but this was absurd.
Literally - no-one seems to care they are working a JOB as a SERVICE.
Cookeville Wings LLC should be ashamed to run this Wingstop. Its not my first run in with this level of service. The honeymoon period has ended. Its time to flush the staff, and start over. Management needs to be demoted until they are experienced enough to run a crew. The "we are new" excuse has passed.
Disappointing, I was excited when Wingstop made its way to Cookeville. Their Louisiana Rub is amazing, and their wings are great. Its a shame their staff ruins...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I never ever ever write a bad review. I work in the service industry and truly understand that there are so many factors at play in a restaurant environment. I would have happily just allowed WINGSTOP to fix their mistakes but given nobody will answer the phone and the CONTACT US link will not load for me leaving this review is the only way to voice what happened. Decided to order takeout tonight and had a friend graciously pick it up for the kids because I am feeling under the weather. Only 2 of my four children were home but I have 3 boys so I ordered extra for later. $60 no big deal eating out is ridiculously expensive right now but $60 is a lot of money to essentially waste because what we ordered is not what we got. I ordered: a hickory bbq boneless wing and fries meal with a drink and ranch and i added on 5 boneless hawaiian. the boneless wing deal with 20 boneless wings - 10 hickory bbq, 5 hot honey rub and, 5 cajun with a large fry and ranch 10 piece classic combo with 5 hot honey rub, 5 spicy korean q with voodoo fries and a drink and I added 2 cajun tenders. they gave me 10 boneless hawaiian and 10 hickory smoked bbq traditional wings - he's little and will not eat real chicken wings haha they gave me 10 boneless i think buffalo? no ranch. the fries were right ! sucks it was such a horrible experience. and also that you cant get anyone to...
