I am a visitor, Southern Oregon business owner and have google reviews myself. This evening I walked into SharkBites in Coose Bay Oregon with my son and husband and patiently waited as the sign clearly said. As a another family walked in they did not wait walked up to the young waitress and asked to be seated, as they did. My husband took a seat at a table that was clearly not occupied at that time. As the young waitress comes back minutes later I ask her if there was another side to the restaurant we could be seated at, she stated that there was but it was full. I then wanted to address that she seated a family that had 4-7 heads at a table before my family that clearly walked in before hand and only had three people at a table. She then looked at my husband, asked if I was with them, I said yes. She said, “We usually sit guests at a table before they help themselves.”

I am not sure if this young server was having a bad night or whatever her ridiculous reason was... But traveling from Medford Oregon to get out of the smoke where we as local businesses owners ourselves have been volunteering in the ash burn homes with our friend—truly we expected better service then this! We wanted to relax, I wanted to have some “amazing fish tacos” that never happened. I was so upset at the response and the acknowledgment from this establishment I asked my family to leave. We then walked To Little Italy where we were then treated like humans! So...

We were staying in Coos Bay for the night at a motel just a couple blocks away. This was a location recommended by the brochure in the lobby. We were seeking brewery type food with options for my gluten free mother and this place seemed like the perfect fit! The prices online were affordable, the menu seemed to offer enough we could both be satisfied. We had to park on the main hwy 101, the place did not offer private parking. The line was out the door which is normally a good thing! But after self navigating I found there were two menus/lines being offered at the front, one gluten free the other regular which is wonderful if I would have known before waiting! The menu was limited, most items were spicy / tacos anyone seeking not spicy were almost out of luck. I ordered the halibut burger, my mom ordered the nachos. We were seated at the bar due to how busy it was and no seats being available. We didn't order beverages so it was kind of awkward and cramped. The space is very small for how busy it is. The staff however were very accommodating and friendly. Once the food arrived all the ingredients were fresh and well prepared! We devoured our dishes with a good amount of leftover nachos! I recommend this place due to quality of food. If you are willing to navigate, problem solve and try new things this place is for you! If you need to be seated and given directions with a menu with lots of options +...

I just called and spoke with them about our time there I was told that had we ordered upon sitting down we would have been given our food in timely fashion. APPARENTLY a 40 minute ticket time is acceptable to them.

Everything started off so well! My son loves sharks and so of course when I googled restaurants and this showed up, well we just had to go. We don't get to take many trips because we have 3 kids, ages ranging from 11, 4 and 11 months. My daughter (the 11 month old) did great eating clam chowder as that hit our table promptly after just 15 minutes.

The service started strong, but weakened in the first 20 minutes. We arrived at 12:45 and left at 2:15. The food didn't hit our table until 1:55 and at that point my 4 year old was acting extremely annoyed as he wanted to go back to the beach and my daughter (the 11 month old) was not having anything to do with it anymore. I fed her, gave her a bottle and played with her, but NONE OF THAT MATTERED!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE WAS DONE. I didn't even get to eat my food.

We asked how much longer it would be and honestly the attitude we got was honestly like how dare we even ask! Just a few more minutes they said (another 20 minutes later) the food showed up. The food is over priced for the portions you get and other than the clam chowder it all lacked flavor.

I can say that based on our first visit, we most likely will not...

To begin with, we walked in from the Eastside thru the surf shop. Cute little store for a multitude of water wear and clothing. I didn't realize we were coming in the back entrance. The ordering for food was done in a way I have never done. You look at a menu on a table then go up to the counter and place your order. After that, you are able to pick your table in another room. Different! I'm not sure how I felt about that. It seemed odd. We waited for our drinks and food. It wasn't busy at all so I wasn't sure why it took 10 minutes to get our drinks. I figured something must have happened at first but then I started to wonder if we had been forgotten about. We were the only 2 people seated at the time. I didn't feel like we were a priority. As people came in to be seated, I started thinking I was glad we got there when we did. The food finally cames 32 minutes from ordering. That's quite a while. I was glad I had good company. The food itself is alright. Nothing to boast about. I'd say about average. The drinks were about average as well. I think I'd say the espresso dessert was the best item on the list of what we had. Not sure if we'll be back. Feeling kind of mixed about the experience.
