I recently had the pleasure of dining at KAE Sushi restaurant in Coral Gables, and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This small family-owned business truly deserves the highest praise for their outstanding cuisine, warm hospitality, and attention to detail.

First and foremost, the freshness of the ingredients used in their dishes was remarkable. The thick cuts of sashimi were an absolute delight, incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. Each piece melted in my mouth, a testament to the impeccable quality of the seafood. The dedication to using only the freshest ingredients truly shines through in every bite.

The service at KAE Sushi was impeccable. The owners, a lovely and accommodating couple, went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness added a personal touch that made my wife and I feel like valued guests. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring that all our preferences were taken into account.

The sushi rolls at KAE Sushi were a work of art. The combination of flavors and textures was masterfully crafted, resulting in an explosion of taste with every bite. The guava and passion fruit rolls were particularly unique and delicious, offering a delightful tropical twist that was both refreshing and memorable. Not only were the rolls delicious, but they were also beautifully presented, showcasing the skill and creativity of the chef.

However, the true highlight of our dining experience at KAE Sushi was the Salmon Sensation. Witnessing the salmon being smoked right at the table was a feast for the senses. The aroma of the smoky goodness filled the air, and the flavor was unparalleled. It was a true culinary spectacle that elevated the entire meal to a whole new level.

In conclusion, KAE Sushi restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves to be celebrated. With its commitment to freshness, exceptional service, and the warm hospitality of the family owners, it delivers a dining experience that is second to none. From the remarkable sashimi to the beautifully presented sushi rolls and the unforgettable Salmon Sensation, every aspect of the meal was an absolute delight.

I highly recommend KAE Sushi to anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary journey in...

Never again will I go to a place where staff was extremely inattentive, inconsiderate, and disrespectful of others' time and effort. To begin, I was sat by a young lady, I can say she is Colombian, who took my order, at first I felt bad for her because she seemed overwhelmed and stressed. I got there at 5:45pm. She offered me some happy hour special, so I ordered from your happy hour, since she offered it. She brought water and never heard from her or anyone, I literally drank the entire water and she never came back to check on us, mind you, I saw her walking back and forth, she would look at me but kept on ignoring our table, not once did she take the audacity to bother. When I was about to leave a waiter finally showed up to ask me if I was ready to order after sitting there for about 30 minutes. I told himI I had ordered about 30 minutes ago with the waitress and that I was actually about to leave. He explained that the waitress who had sitted me down was not supposed to take the order but him, either way, he had seen me sitting there waiting for a while too and the place was not even full, so excuse as opposed to resolving the problem. Then he retook the order, I waited another while, and with him I ordered 2 more things to take with me. Later he showed up with one of the orders and did not realize about the other order, I had to tell him something was missing, he then said he would look at it and let me know. I then told him that I had been sitting there for 1 hour and it was absurd that I wanted to leave. I finished eating what he brought and again waited another whiler, then another waiter showed up to clean up the table, he seemed more in tune and moving fast, and apologized on their behalf. I asked him in regards to the order to take out, I didn't want to eat anymore and leave, I was there for almost 2 hours.

The place was not even packed and the staff lost. 3 waiters for such a small place and so incometeant. I"m assuming the owner or manager needs to hire experienced staff or train their staff better. I feel bad for the customers and untrained staff that are there to make a difference for this restaurant amongst the rest that are near them. I was better off going to a fast food place. I will not recommend this place. If I could I would give no star to submit...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Diamond-Level Experience at KAE Sushi by Chef Landa

If I could give more than five stars, I would. We were visiting from Austin with time for one meal before our flight home. We picked KAE Sushi by Chef Landa in Coral Gables and it was the best decision of our Miami trip.

The fish was beyond fresh. We started with hamachi jalapeño appetizers and immediately ordered another round. The yellowtail was buttery with perfect heat from the jalapeño. The salmon tartare had incredible silky texture. Even the miso soup was exceptional.

We asked for Kirin Ichiban, our usual sushi beer, but they didn’t carry it. They recommended Belle Epoque 1900, a French beer, instead. We tried it and it was fantastic, pairing excellently with our food.

The Toro and Caviar Roll was phenomenally prepared with gold flakes and truffle oil. Every element balanced perfectly. The Miami Roll blew my mind with plantain on sushi. I’d never had it before and now I’m wishing for plantain on every roll. Chef Landa’s fusion of tropical sweetness with traditional sushi was genius.

My 10-year-old loves sushi and asked to sit at the counter to watch Chef Ibrahim work. Chef Ibrahim made special space for him and spent the entire meal teaching him about cuts and techniques. My son was over the moon watching the master at work.

Chef Ibrahim and his wife made us feel like family, but it wasn’t just them. The whole staff treated us like we belonged there. When my wife complimented our server’s perfume, the server brought over her personal bottle and shared a few spritzes with her. My wife was delighted. This genuine care for our experience that you rarely find anymore. This diamond-level service is what sets KAE apart.

We’re already planning our next Miami trip specifically to eat here again. To Chef Ibrahim, his wife, and the KAE team: thank you for making our Texas family’s last meal in Miami so special.

Go to KAE. You...

This restaurant is a hidden gem, everything from the moment we walked in the enviroment, music, and aesthetic was welcoming. Our waitress Katie greeted us with a smile and promped us to the qr code menu after she took our drink order. We went in happy hour time on a thursday afternoon, there was a variety selection on appetizers 50% off. We ordered the shrimp shumai with the ponzu sauce, they were crunchy and packed with so much flavor and went perfect with the sauce, 6 pieces to be exact. We also ordered miso soup wich came with a lid on top to keep it nice and hot so you can take your time drinking it also with the perfect balance of miso and toppings, mean while Katie would come back and make sure we are satified with the food also the timing was perfect when the main course came in! The lobster deluxe, the roll it self was well packed wt crunchie juicy lobster meat and fresh crunchy vegetable but the star of this signature roll was the honey juzu sauce! When i tell you the perfect balance of citrus and honey in this sauce was so good that we had to order a california roll so i can keep scraping this sauce out the plate! We also ordered desert! The nutella roll. Wich had the texture of frozzen chocolate mousse rolled in a rice paper and topped with toasted almonds; Katie poured warm nutella fudge over the roll wich made the perfect temperature and texture contrast between warm and runny and soft and chewy on the inside not overly sweet and the almonds had a great crunchy effect. Over all I give it a 10/10 from enviroment, service, to presentation, flavors and how spot clean was the restaurant. We will come back to try more of this delicious menu.

Kae is a gem of a sushi restaurant tucked away in downtown Coral Gables. My wife and I had the pleasure of dining there last Friday evening and were thoroughly impressed by the warm hospitality, fresh sushi, and cozy atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely owners Katy and Ibrahim who welcomed us like old friends. Their friendliness and attention to detail made us feel right at home. The fish tasted like it had just been caught that morning. The rice was perfectly seasoned and had just the right temperature and texture. The highlight was absolutely their signature Kae roll. The combination of textures and flavors in this roll was sublime. Beyond the exquisite sushi, especially the Kae roll, the atmosphere at Kae is warm and inviting. Traditional Japanese decor with intimate booth seating makes it feel like you're dining in someone's home. While enjoying our meal, Katy and Ibrahim checked in on us several times to make sure we were happy. Their sincerity and care for their customers was evident. I cannot recommend Kae highly enough for top-notch sushi and heartfelt hospitality. Katy and Ibrahim's passion comes through in every bite and interaction. We cannot wait to return soon and bring friends along to experience this Coral Gables gem.
