Miami's Best Pizza has been around since 1970. Originally across the street from the University of Miami (FL, the only UM), it closed its doors around 2014. the new establishment is opened up now next to the University of Miami. The new digs are very nice. They also now serve beer. And you can still look in the window to watch them make your pizza. As a UM student in the 80-90's, the delivery man would come into the entrance of McDonald Tower and yell, "The best!" Because it was. Their pizza is greasy and gooey and delicious. The pepperoni is not put on evenly, and is clumped up so sometimes you get huge bites of pepperoni. the sauce is sweet and the cheese is not too salty. The crust is crispy and thin and perfectly foldable. Their pizzas also come in four sizes: 10in 12in 14in and 16in. Their Caesar salad dressing is also a homemade specialty. But not only do they have pizza, they also have garlic rolls, cheese sticks, chicken wings, salads, and some pasta dishes. They also now sell subs of all different kinds. It is very laid-back and Casual. Great for kids and families. Go there and enjoy!

Really excellent pizza, their tomato sauce has a punchy flavor to it. This has been a miami establishment for the longest time and they have a great history here. The location is nestled right by the university and the parking can get a little interesting but there is plenty to find. The pizza comes ripping hot out of their oven and is delicious to eat, packed full of flavor. They have their own unique unapologetic style of pizza and the dough they use feels lighter than others I've had. It can get a little pricey for the specialty pizza's but they offer lunch deals throughout the week. I'll definitely have to come back some time! My only minor caution is it's a bit pricey! 2 drinks and a pizza added up to more than I was hoping for.

This really is the best pizza you can get in Miami. I've been coming here since I was a kid. The sauce is perfect with a light sweetness from the basil. The perfectly melted mozzarella, and the variety and quality is superb. My favorite is ham and onion, but i also love the crispy pepperoni. They moved across the street a while ago so my last time visiting Miami, I thought they had closed down. Thankfully, my relatives told me that it moved so I was able to go back. It's exactly as i remember. Even the garlic rolls are the same. Pay them a visit. It's the best pizza in Miami.

THEY ARE TAXING AN AUTOMATIC GRATUITY BAKED INTO THE PRICE.

First and foremost, I do want to say that I have been coming to Miami’s Best for a solid 20 years, even when it was in its old location. I’ve enjoyed the food even more in the current location than the old one.

That out of the way, this needs to be said: I visited recently to get the Slice Special with 1 topping, fountain drink, and garlic roll. That special is listed at the register as $9 all together. Then I added ONE topping that was listed at the register as ONE dollar. That should bring the total to $10 before tax. 8% sales tax on a $10 order is 80¢, correct?

So you would think that the total with tax would be $10.80, right? Wrong.

According to Miami’s Best computer system, that total is $12.96. So, after going back and forth with them for about three minutes on the very basic math, they weee kind enough to charge me a lower price, which I accepted and left a tip.

But after thinking about it, I realized that what happened was that Miami’s Best has a 20% GRATUITY baked into the bill before the subtotal, meaning they are automatically charging us a tax INCLUDING the gratuity. But they are charging a 20% gratuity for just bringing you your food. You have to place your own order at the register, get your own refills and condiments, get your own utensils and bus your own table (generally). They only bring what you ordered to the table. Furthermore, there are times when they will just call your name and not even serve you beyond the point of purchase.

When ordering make sure you do your math and be aware that the tip is being included at the point of sale.

I enjoyed my pizza slice but not the...

I am a pizza lover. Always in search of the perfect pizza pie. Growing up in New Jersey had me spoiled at a young age. It can be difficult to find above average pizza in Miami. Even though they lacked consistency at times, Miami's Best pizza was my favorite pizza joint, before they closed down. When I heard they reopened I was excited to go back and have me a pie. I am sad to say I was utterly disappointed. Nowhere near what it used to be. The oven needs some calibrating... undercooked below, and overcooked on top. It made the slice a bit soggy and the cheese on top a bit browned and not melty. Two thumbs down. The only thing MBP has going for them is a play on nostalgia. The real Miami's best pizza pie, hands down, is located in Kendall. I drive all the way from the beach for this delightfully succulent, consistently perfect pizza every time. Two Brothers pizza has never disappointed, not even a little. In response to the owners reply; Intersing you assume I had the pizza at your establishment to go. I actually did have it at location right out of the oven, at one of your tables. I understand the dynamics of baking pizza ( I've been a pizza baker myslef). It wasn't soggy because it had too much sauce. It was rather dry actually. My tip to you is to take this feedback as constructive criticism. MBP has the potential to be as good as it used to be. I'll drop by eventually to give it a second chance in hopes that it lives up to its...

My Order: Mozzarella Sticks Large Meaty Ricotta Pizza

TLDR: Want a good vibe? Forget about it Want good mozzarella sticks? Forget about it Want okay pizza? Dominos is next door might as well go there. The only difference is how the pizza is made. Ingredients taste the same! Not Miami's best pizza. Sad.

Pros: Ricotta was soft and yummy Meatball meat was spiced fairly. Not overpowering and not bland. Place has some parking. Large variety of food. Fairly cheap for 2023 standards.

Cons about the store and general vibe: Walked into the store at 7pm to get my pizza. No one at the counter. Finally, person arrives. No customer service what so ever. Just a face that makes you feel like your not supposed to be there. Fine whatever, pay and tip, they're just people. Gets pizza from the back. Same thing. I guess no one wants to treat customers with any sort of decency, just there to fulfill orders. Not sure how you become the best pizza like that otherwise its no better than Dominos. Ironically there is one right next to them.

Cons about the food: Mozzarella sticks are terrible. Bland and the cheese is bottom shelf quality. Don't bother. The pizza is ok. Nothing special and for sure not the best in miami. Had like 2 inches of crust before hitting cheese. Again low quality cheese. Pizza sauce was minimal and bland....
