What can I say about tonight? Dining at Sra Martinez - I'm so proud of Chef Michelle Bernstein, not that she needs any accolades from me, but having worked with you briefly so many years ago and 16 years later sitting at this spectacular full circle moment for you is one of a kind. I wish nothing but the most Michelin stars to fall upon you like fairy dust.
My mother and I reveled in the 7 courses we ordered. 1. Kampachi Crudo - was to die for. I can still taste the flavored salt carefully added on it and the freshness of that kampachi. More more! 2. Leek Au Vinaigrette (not pictured but picture worthy) was a fresh surprise and without those toasted hazelnuts over top, it would be a miss. This is a must for anyone. 3. Fried Eggplant Chips (not pictured because we dug in too fast) - pack me a bag of these and I'll sit at any movie theatre munching all night. For anyone that knows me, I don't sit in movie theatres ever - these would make me go! An ode to any Spanish restaurant in Spain, but elevated so perfectly with every perfect crunchy slim bite of these eggplant morsels slathered in miel. 4. Foie Gras Brandy Glazed apples with a mini hoe cake - foie perfection, but give me a little a little less hoe, haha, other than that - magnifique. 5. Arroz Negro with cuttlefish - transported me to Spain and Puerto Rico all at once. The freshness of the lemon aoili added to this dish gave it a delicate lightness that is often not there when you're eating a risotto or arroz negro elsewhere. More Arroz please. 6. Braised Mussles - delicate & cooked to perfection. I only would've wanted a little more creaminess to the sauce so it stuck to each mussle as you reach for each and suck on them. This is a dish you need more than one napkin for, which the servers are ready to switch out for you. 7. Last, but not least - Egg Yolk Carpaccio al bar mut- my only best description is this dish is Insane-ly good. I can only picture Chef Michy waking up in the middle of the night and scribbling down some notes from her journeys only to walk in bright and early the next day and put this masterpiece together. It's a Spain gambas al ajillo inspired dish fusing Florida Keys tender shrimp with the Amalfi coast carpaccio. The dish comes very hot to the touch as the egg Yolk carpaccio has been perfectly placed underneath a generous portion of key west shrimp slathered in garlic and green butter and a mountain of in house potato sticks stacked over the top. The server crushes the potato sticks so very gently and insists on using a spoon for you to gather an entire bite of this deliciousness. One word - Orgasmic! And finally- dessert the Torejas bread pudding..wow wow wow.
You have done it again, Master Mentor Chef Michy. Between the food, the ambience, the live music, the service (I can't finish this without mentioning Rodrigo, who was beyond spectacular - he described every dish with precision and made you want to order it. His attention to detail & his anticipation of what and when the guest needed something was beyond. Bravo 👏!)
It was a night to remember! Thank you to Chef Michy and David, the hostess with the mostess, for this memorable evening. See you...

Food. Congratulations on the new dishes, such as the endive salad and the ceviche. The croquettes remain a classic, though the dish could benefit from a slightly more refined texture on the palate.
Service. A special mention goes to Rodrigo, who served our table with great professionalism and consistent attention to ensure the satisfaction of every guest.
Ambience. The restaurant was three-quarters full on a Saturday afternoon — a pleasantly surprising sign. However, the live music did not fully match the level and style the establishment aims to project.
Conclusion. Without a doubt, a highly recommended spot. Its diverse culinary offering, combined with Italian-inspired décor, creates the perfect setting for a romantic and memorable evening. As a final suggestion, it would be worth reviewing the wine list to ensure it aligns more closely with the quality of the cuisine.
12/27/2024 New Restaurant in Coral Gables: High Expectations, Mixed Results A restaurant promising a Spanish-inspired experience but falling short in execution. Food: Among the dishes tried, only the fried eggplant stood out for its flavor and texture. The rest suffered from overly spiced flavors, incorrect temperatures, and overcooking issues. While there’s an effort to innovate, the execution lacks precision. Service: Excellent. The staff is well-trained, providing impeccable customer service with great attention to detail. Their professionalism enhances the overall experience. Ambiance: The venue features a sober, traditional design with an Italian flair that’s visually appealing. The bar has the potential to become a popular spot, although some of the initial buzz might be due to the restaurant's novelty. Conclusion: While the service and ambiance are strong points, the menu requires adjustments to meet diners' expectations. A review of the dishes could make a significant difference for this promising...
Read moreSra. Martinez delivered an evening that truly showcases the best of Miami’s dining scene. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out for its warmth and professionalism. Our server was exceptionally courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable, striking the perfect balance between efficiency and genuine hospitality. That level of care immediately elevates the entire experience.
A special recognition goes to Manager Belén Luque, whose leadership and attention to detail made the night unforgettable. Thanks to her outstanding management, the kitchen prepared my favorite dessert in all of Miami—even though it wasn’t on the menu that day. That gesture alone reflects a culture of service that goes far beyond expectations. It’s rare to find a team so committed to creating a personalized and memorable experience.
The food was very good, with dishes that showed thoughtful preparation, balanced flavors, and excellent timing from the kitchen. Everything felt consistent, confident, and aligned with the restaurant’s reputation.
Adding to the atmosphere was the live band, which deserves a round of applause. Their performance brought energy and elegance to the evening, enhancing the ambiance without overpowering the dining experience. It was the perfect soundtrack for a night of great food and great company.
Sra. Martinez continues to stand out not only for its cuisine but for the people who bring the experience to life. With service of this caliber, leadership like Belén’s, and a team that understands true hospitality, it’s easy to see why this restaurant remains one of Miami’s most memorable dining...
