What can I say about tonight? Dining at Sra Martinez - I'm so proud of Chef Michelle Bernstein, not that she needs any accolades from me, but having worked with you briefly so many years ago and 16 years later sitting at this spectacular full circle moment for you is one of a kind. I wish nothing but the most Michelin stars to fall upon you like fairy dust.

My mother and I reveled in the 7 courses we ordered. 1. Kampachi Crudo - was to die for. I can still taste the flavored salt carefully added on it and the freshness of that kampachi. More more! 2. Leek Au Vinaigrette (not pictured but picture worthy) was a fresh surprise and without those toasted hazelnuts over top, it would be a miss. This is a must for anyone. 3. Fried Eggplant Chips (not pictured because we dug in too fast) - pack me a bag of these and I'll sit at any movie theatre munching all night. For anyone that knows me, I don't sit in movie theatres ever - these would make me go! An ode to any Spanish restaurant in Spain, but elevated so perfectly with every perfect crunchy slim bite of these eggplant morsels slathered in miel. 4. Foie Gras Brandy Glazed apples with a mini hoe cake - foie perfection, but give me a little a little less hoe, haha, other than that - magnifique. 5. Arroz Negro with cuttlefish - transported me to Spain and Puerto Rico all at once. The freshness of the lemon aoili added to this dish gave it a delicate lightness that is often not there when you're eating a risotto or arroz negro elsewhere. More Arroz please. 6. Braised Mussles - delicate & cooked to perfection. I only would've wanted a little more creaminess to the sauce so it stuck to each mussle as you reach for each and suck on them. This is a dish you need more than one napkin for, which the servers are ready to switch out for you. 7. Last, but not least - Egg Yolk Carpaccio al bar mut- my only best description is this dish is Insane-ly good. I can only picture Chef Michy waking up in the middle of the night and scribbling down some notes from her journeys only to walk in bright and early the next day and put this masterpiece together. It's a Spain gambas al ajillo inspired dish fusing Florida Keys tender shrimp with the Amalfi coast carpaccio. The dish comes very hot to the touch as the egg Yolk carpaccio has been perfectly placed underneath a generous portion of key west shrimp slathered in garlic and green butter and a mountain of in house potato sticks stacked over the top. The server crushes the potato sticks so very gently and insists on using a spoon for you to gather an entire bite of this deliciousness. One word - Orgasmic! And finally- dessert the Torejas bread pudding..wow wow wow.

You have done it again, Master Mentor Chef Michy. Between the food, the ambience, the live music, the service (I can't finish this without mentioning Rodrigo, who was beyond spectacular - he described every dish with precision and made you want to order it. His attention to detail & his anticipation of what and when the guest needed something was beyond. Bravo 👏!)

It was a night to remember! Thank you to Chef Michy and David, the hostess with the mostess, for this memorable evening. See you...

The ambiance of the restaurant is great and the music is wonderful. The service started off wonderful and our apps came out quickly as well as drinks. But then my husband ordered his second drink and it didn’t come out for about 20 mins. He ordered it after we finished our apps and then it didn’t come out until after we were almost finished with the mains. We also didn’t receive our side dishes until we were halfway through the mains. It also took a while for me to order my second drink. The food, however, was spectacular absolutely zero complaints there. The most annoying part of the evening and why we didn’t stay longer was because with the tables being so close together my chair was constantly kicked and my body was continually bumped into as well as my husbands. We found ourselves leaning so far into the table to avoid from being hit we couldn’t actually relax. I also had to keep fixing my hair because it was continuously being hit and moved out of place. We would have stayed longer and spent more if we didn’t feel like we were always in the way and if we felt like we wouldn’t have to wait so long for our cocktails. If you make a reservation, require a booth or maybe sitting outside would be better if it’s...

Our first visit to Sra. Martinez was one of the most memorable dining experiences of our lives. We had ten people and co-owner Señor Martinez suggested we enjoy the Taste of the Gables selections family style. Everything was exceptional. First, in the spirit of the Spanish theme, I ordered an off menu cocktail, a Vermouth Preparado. Not only was it delicious it was presented to the table by the bartender. The cocktails on the menu were also very creative and tasty. The apps included the chicken liver pate, Carbonara Croquetas, Tuna Carpaccio and Feta Greek..Ish Salad was all so yummy. The mains included Wood Roasted Duck with mole, Hanger Steak with Chimichurru, Mushroom Shwrama and a Covina Filet. All passed the eye roll test, my favorite was the duck. The wines included a 2022 Mondeuse and a delicious Cab Franc from Argentina. Dessert included a dark chocolate Bread Pudding with rum soaked raisins, yeah. The service was just as good if not better. Belen, David and team took great care of us. They even brought out all the Chefs. My only note is the water had a weird taste. Loved they participate with the in kind App. Definitely will be back and can't wait to try the...

Took the family to Sra Martinez for the first time this evening as we wanted to come here for several months. The menu looked amazing and we wanted to try the oxtail paella with bone marrow. Additionally, we had the Greek salad and cuttlefish appetizers and the freshly delivered lamb chops with mint sauce. The food was breathtaking to look at with the presentation and every bite was bursting with exceptional flavor. We finished the evening off with a fantastic Baked Alaska dessert. The atmosphere was very trendy and relaxing with a great live band playing jazz music. As great as the food and atmosphere was, the service was the best we have ever had. The attention to detail by the staff with cleaning the tables, refilling drinks and getting the food hot on the table was unparalleled. Pedro was an amazing server and we highly recommend asking for him to serve your table as you won’t be disappointed. Finally, Jorge was first class all the way. His recommendations were spot on and he took his time and care to visit us often. Their entire staff go above and beyond for their customers and we will be coming back regularly. Would rate higher than 5 stars if possible.
