Evan, the founder of Cecilies moved to Florida from Philadelphia. Once here he noticed a lack of the kind of Italian ice he enjoyed up north. The seed was sown and in 1995 he opened a store in Coral Springs named after his cat. Ever since then he has been supplying the community with delicious and unique flavored Italian ices and the rest is history.
The inside of the store is closed to customers right now. You order at the window and they bring it out to your car. The ices are made in-house in small batches and the amount of flavors is staggering. They offer soft serve, gelati, and Italian ice in 6 sizes. On the day I visited the flavors ranged from the more mundane lemon, pineapple, and cotton candy to the more exotic gummi bear, soursop, blood orange, horchatta, and peacehead. They also have some cookie, pie, and cake options. They have a selection of sugar free selections too. Through the years they have developed over 200 flavors that they rotate. Get multiple flavors or layer soft serve and water ice.
The heat was ramping up to hellacious levels right before a famous Florida thunderstorm and this was the most refreshing treat. I ordered a small piña colada ($3.85) that was so fruity and delicious. Now that I have discovered Cecilies I can't wait to come back and try...

the chocolate tastes like a fudge popsicle! the only downfall is that compared to jeremiahs, it doesn’t have chocolate chip pieces in it.
cherry is cherry.
white chocolate brownie is white chocolate italian ice with chocolate fudge brownie pieces. get it if it’s available cuz this is one of the favs.
thai tea is thai tea. it’s an orange color. delicious.
cookies and cream was great too. jeremiahs is just this gray italian ice with oreo cream dispersed throughout. but this one has oreos blended into it. so much better.
and lastly gummi bear. this one is sooooo cool. it’s a white italian ice with a citrusy (lemonade?) flavor and gummy bears in it! kids would love this one. funny cuz my...

So many options to choose but we ended up with the BEST gelati (water ice & creamy soft serve) and we were not disappointed to say the least! We ordered the banana cream pie and vanilla soft serve, also had the coconut ice and finally the mint cookies & cream. They were all AMAZINGLY delicious!!!! 💯 The customer service was beyond FANTASTIC. The young kid working the window was energetic, friendly, helpful, suggestive, and patient especially since we had so many questions!!! Hope they’re paying him well because his customer service skills were fantastic!!! The place was clean and though it was super busy our order came out quickly!!!
