
Tonight was my second time trying Larry’s, back to back and I must say I am extremely disappointed. Both experiences both nights were not pleasant, but the second night took the cake. The only reason we returned the second night is because the ice cream was good, though the cone was stale we wanted to give them the benefit of doubt that it was a busy night & late in the evening.
The first night, Thursday, when we first arrived there weren’t many people there yet, we weren’t greeted & we spent 5 mins just looking for the 1 menu that’s available for the whole restaurant.
We ordered our ice cream and a couple things off the “snack” menu, then it started to get busy, it took them quite a long time to make our ice cream and the 2 hot items we ordered off the menu, there were 2 young ladies manning the front and you could obviously see them drowning and needed help, the whole time an older guy, stood behind the counter with a costume girl around his neck barking orders, instead of washing his hands and helping these young ladies. It was EXTREMELY obvious that the girls were either being trained or still very new. One business owner to another, train on evenings where you won’t be busy.
We noticed the night before some of the hot menu items on the menu so we made a mental note to try again the next night, as we enjoy supporting smaller businesses….complete chaos, no order in this restaurant, the employees almost seem clueless and obviously stressed. While waiting an over an hour for fries, chicken wraps, and the chicken cones, we witnessed quite a few things that made us uncomfortable. Like the 3 older employees with the store shirts on walking in, seeing their team struggling and not helping. Let’s talk about the portion of food for the price, it absolutely is not worth what I paid. The employees are unaware of their menu after I had to beg them for the chips that came with my wraps (as listed on the menu) but being told it didn’t come with chips. The chicken cones that we order were a disappointment definitely only worth $4 the most but paid 7 just to be handed dry chicken, without the ranch, how it was pictured, wrapped in a napkin when the picture show it comes in a cup…after asking for the cup, the just slid them in milkshake cups. The cones were really stale with the chicken cones. I ordered less food the night before and still paid just about the same amount the second night which leads me to believe I was overcharged the first night or the cashiers are pulling numbers out their behinds. The fries were cold with a really bad chemical taste. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the portions. None of it looks like the reels/tik toks/pictures they post on social media.
After waiting an hour for our food we had to wait another 15 mins for a part of our order that they claimed we told them we didn’t want anymore….not sure why I would say that when I paid for it.
There is no system for customers, everyone is just standing around, no line, don’t know where to order, I watched people walk in and out, some being serviced before others that had been waiting for awhile.
And this is just some of what I experienced at Larry’s in these 2 nights. I won’t be returning and can only hope they soon restructure and offer a better experience for future customers, especially on their “popular nights.”

Read moreDiscriminated against here. Very disappointed in my first visit here. I came here Saturday night 08/05/2023, it was my first time, as it was recommended by the 2 persons I came with. Upon entering, I was NOT greeted at all. It was confusing to know where the line started, where to order and who would assist me. I waited in the line by the door. Upon waiting for a long time, a white male worker greeted a white male patron as soon as he walked in. I was still standing in line waiting- being ignored. A white female serving ice cream completely SKIPPED over me and SAID TO THE WHITE MAN who just walked in, ASKED HIM HIS ORDER. Now it was clear I had been waiting. I am not invisible- although perhaps to Larry’s employees black immigrant women are. The white customer/ man actually turned to me and said “weren’t you ahead of me ?” And I said “yes thank you” I was in such shock that the white young female worker did that. She didn’t apologize , not once. She then just told me she assumed/ thought I was with another group— another group of persons of color- muslim. I am not muslim. I never met those People in my life . I would never go back here or support a store that 1) had poor customer service 2) discriminates against minorities, esp black women. Read moreI just ate a double scoop(toasted coconut and butter pecan) with Belgian waffle cup. Not impressed at all. Felt like I shouldn't of bought there in the first place. Place looks nice and busy but I don't know why? Can't be the icecream or the presentation. First time here and had a hard time figuring out what I wanted. Couldn't get a visual cause there's no pictures of the different variations of icecream you can do. Only in righting with the price at the end. Even the TV menu goes to fast and you can't read everything that's on the monitor. I'm sorry but I don't see it for this place. Even the way to make an order, there's no line. Confusing. I hope it was just a bad night . I'll give it a try one more time but not right now cause I'm a little disappointed. Hope to see improvements.
Just got a reply to my concerns and comments. Owner just confirms what I said but dosen't look like they'll have anything changed. As long as it's good for them. I see. Well I hope your customers won't get tired of the same old thing cause I don't see you getting any new customer with that energy you giving. Truthfully I'm not even going to give it a second chance because the owner thinks everything is fine. Not for me. Sorry.
