Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Coralville

I wanted to give them a try since they have been praising new look and changes they brought to their chains. Their website said this store would deliver in my area but when I called, manager said I was out of delivery area so that is definately screwed up. I went there to pick it up instead. Staff was very friendly and helpful, store looks nice and modern so they did a good job in revamping the brand. After ordering, wait time was very small and probably took 10 minutes to get that ready. So finally to main item I was there for, PIZZA!! I was pleased with the quality and I feel it was a great value for the money spent. I read some reviews talk about delivery drivers and since I am out of their delivery range, I won't get to experience that. Hopefully they invest in self driving delivery cars and may be it will eliminate both delivery and bad delivery person issues. I did see normal than more staff hanging out behind the counter but may be they don't have back room since new design brought kitchen outside in front of you which is kind of nice. 25 Nov 22 Update: Gave the feedback below on the main dominos website and the manager called me to hear my feedback. Very nice person - gave a coupon - and apologized. Ordered a pizza a few days later and it was great - came with everything we ordered. So - updating this review to reflect this.

Older review: I placed an order today - 1 large pizza with garlic sauce and 1 cinnamon twists. The order came missing the garlic sauce and icing sauce. When handed the order by the driver I checked quickly and saw the order was missing both garlic sauce and icing. I told the driver and he said he would come back with the sauces. Hour and a half later - no sauces. I then call the dominos store and tell the employee on the phone who then just says ‘ok’ and hangs up on me. Really appreciate the terrible customer...

Delivery is always so bad. The drivers are extremely rude and refuse to bring the pizza inside the apartment building. Instead they call and ask us to come outside and walk around the building to get it. Even though I leave clear instructions with the code to get in the main door and the apartment number. If i’m paying for delivery and even leaving a tip then they should atleast be able to bring the pizza to my door.

This has happened the last three times we ordered from this Dominos. I also asked for no contact delivery since my roommate and I have COVID. Yet the same thing happened and we had to walk outside to meet the driver face to face because he didn’t want to walk inside. Awful...
