VU TEA — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Tastea is a nice little place nestled between a few random shops. Upon entering you can tell that its been there for some time as the tables and chairs are somewhat worn. When it comes to the menu, everything is made to order. They have a decent selection of teas as well as shakes and other sweet drinks. There are a couple of food choices too but the main things, of course, are the teas. When I go I usually get the oreo shake, which is beyond delicious, and the banana and strawberry crepe. The crepe itself is delicious and paired with the shake is asking for a sugar rush but it's well worth it. The staff is always very friendly and of you want to just hang out they have a small selection of card a s board games to play with friends. I only go here when Happy Tea is closed. Every time I get the Thai milk tea here at Vu Tea, it tastes like overly sweet soy milk. It doesn't have the black tea flavor it is supposed to have. "Happy Tea" does a phenomenal job on their flavors, especially for their Thai milk tea. I tried giving Vu Tea another chance hoping the last Thai milk tea I got was a bad batch, but it was disappointing yet again. I didn't want to upset the employees and ask for another drink so I just decided to leave instead. If you all want a really good boba with good flavor, I highly recommend "Happy Tea" off of Staples Street in Corpus Christi. Happy Tea could never disappoint their customers when it comes to flavor unlike Vu Tea. I am never going back to Vu Tea no matter how much I crave boba - not worth it. We stopped by the last week of July and strictly ordered boba. Service was incredibly slow, and others that ordered after us received their drinks before us. We waited 30 minutes for 4 drinks. They were not busy at all. My drink was wrong, and when I brought it to their attention, I received an eyeroll and was asked, "well what's wrong with it?" They then proceeded to strain my drink and removed the unwanted jelly from my drink and then dumped it out, put tapioca in my cup, and repoured my drink.
