I manage this McDonald's 20 years ago, their customer service is gone down Hills. I work for a company in Corvallis that will remain nameless, but we regularly go there on Sundays and get a bunch of food for everybody that works there. Consistently we are treated like we are putting them out because we are placing too large of an order. This morning I was met with the same circumstances at the speaker, the first window they took my money moved on not a lot to say but they weren't very friendly. When I got to the next window rather than being greeted with a smile, I got a young girl sticking her head out the window going we're going to have to park you. Not what used to be done hey you know what is a big order or really sorry but we're going to have to have you wait for a moment because it's going to take us some extra time can you please pull over there and Park. Then when I got my food which by the way was only 12 sausage muffin with eggs I got back to work not even half of them had sausage on them. I don't know how you make a mistake like that. That personally seems like laziness, when I called to complain. I got a young manager on the phone shift lead that didn't apologize, and just gave me excuses about how they're down people in the screens are full. When I asked to have the lawyer replace well at this point based on a conversation I told them they were going to replace the order and ask how long. I got told it was going to be at least another 20 to 30 minutes, after I already waited 30 minutes the first time. And then proceeded to get an excuse that they have to take care of all the other customers that are in there right now and their screens are full. Then when I went there and I had asked for the manager's phone number I wasn't given the managers phone number. The shift lead that I talk to you on the phone hit in the back and didn't say another word to me. I didn't get an apology, they didn't offer to refund my order due to the inconvenience of having to come back. And I still have not received the owner operators phone number or contact information for higher ups. We will see how my meeting with the manager goes tomorrow when I drop in to see their GM and I will update. I completely understand that mistakes happen but there used to be a thing called customer service and this McDonald's definitely does not have it repeated issues when it comes to...
Read moreToday is a perfect example of EVERY experience i have had at this specific McDonald's. I hit in line (3 cars from Order Board) but the last vehicle physically in the Parking Lot. It took 5-6 minutes to get to the Board. I placed (#7) my order (she was lovely) and then paid but declined my receipt. Rookie mistake. I got to the Pick-up Window and the young lady starts to hand me the two Diet Cokes with no ice which is the vehicle behind me! I handed her back the first glass and said, no. I had a #7 with a Large Sweet Tea, light ice please. Somehow, between payment & pick-up, my order disappeared! She apologized, started a Tea and then had to go to a different station to finish filling it. She haned me the Large Tea and then asked AGAIN what meal i had ordered and what size. She had just handed me a LARGE drink! She got my food bagged, apologized again and i was off! 15 minutes! At 2pm! You cannot continue calling it "fast food" if it ALWAYS takes this long at this store! But, we're not done yet! As i fought the line (which now was out, into and down the street) to exit the parking lot and drove away, i realized my cup is dripping! Lid not on? No. Is it a drip from the outside of the cup? No. Is it dripping from the bottom of the cup? Yes! So, i turned around, reentered from the other entrance, parked and went inside where only three tables were occupied! The woman i had seen waiting at the Counter while i was in the Drive-Thru was STILL there, waiting. The girl behind the counter asked if she could help me so i told her about the cup. She hands me another cup and points over my shoulder to the Beverage Station. No biggie. I walk over and put some ice in my cup and go to fill it with Sweet Tea. But, there isn't any there. So, i get back in line while the Counter Girl takes an order. When she's done, she looks at me. I told her that there isn't any ST out on the floor and she looks confused. I asked if should could please just fill my cup, give me a lid & a straw and i will be on my way. She sighed, trudged off and then returned with my drink. No apology. No smile. No nothing. Read moreThis shout out going to Macdonalds on Lancaster in Salem. Since covid started I have gone to many fast food restaurants and have found most to be lacking in service and quality of food. The mood I get from many fast food workers is that now I have no choice but to go thru the drive thru and they do not have to be courteous at all, not even talking about good service. The food feels like its thrown together without care or thought for the customers and their taste buds. So imagine my surprise when I went to get food from this beautiful Macdonalds on Lancaster. I think it is around the 1100 blk. I went there around 9.45pm on a weekday. Using the app sucked as usual but I was shocked when I met with the employees going thru. The voice was warm and friendly. The 1st window was super friendly and the person at the last window was so courteous and attentive to my needs. That was the very good service that I experienced. But the food itself was superb for fast food standards. All 4 burgers we got, double bacon, card B combo and cheeseburger were freshly made with love. I mean I could feel the love from the care and how good it tasted. Not just me but everyone in the car voiced the same opinion. I have tasted alot of fast food in my long life but this food was by far the best I have ever tasted. The fries were all freshly fried ( you know when you get nasty fries). I will definitely go here from now on when I yearn McD's whenever I'm in the Salem area. Salem McDonald's please do not change anything.
