Came here after spending the afternoon up at Mary’s peak. It’s been years since I’ve been here and it tastes just as great as it did back then. Not exactly sure what people are complaining about. This ain’t panda. This is an actual sit down Chinese restaurant where it’s all made to order so it will definitely be different than you are used to. Of course your food will be hard if you waited 20 mins to eat it. 🤷 I had the number 5. Sweet and sour pork, with fried rice and I substituted fried shrimp instead of the egg roll. Great flavor. The rice was good enough that it didn’t need soy sauce. It’s as if it was cooked with it. It was around $14. Little speedy but about average for most places now.

I ordered Szechuan chicken entrée and ended up getting Szechuan vegetables with a couple pieces of chicken. If you want chicken, DONT ORDER THIS. In this pic, I haven’t eaten any chicken just picked it all out. As you can see it fits in one small compartment and the vegetables fill up the other small and the large spot. The chicken to vegetables ratio is way off. Maybe I’m crazy for expecting more chicken? I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back in to ask if this is normal or a mistake and the gentleman said it’s normal. The chicken is good but there’s way too much filler (vegetables).

They must have changed owners in the last few years because now everything is disappointingly bland. The general Tso’s chicken (misspelled To’s on the menu) had hardly any spice, the chicken chow mein was mainly steamed bean sprouts with unseasoned chicken, and the almond chicken was bland with an anemic watery sauce. The fried rice was just steamed white riced with a few tiny pieces of scrambled egg. It’s a shame, because I grew up enjoying this place. For what it’s worth though, they were extremely fast.

We've been regulars at China Blue since we found out about it years ago, even going as far as driving an hour to get there just for the food and friendly staff. We've spent $60-100+ almost every time and have never had an issue until today. Went in, sat down, and someone came to take our order. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and an eggroll and my wife ordered lo mein and egg drop soup and we got cheese rangoons to share. I asked if instead of the usual steamed or fried rice I could instead have the Thai style fried rice. Made it abundantly clear I would pay whatever the surcharge would be and receiving the full amount instead of a lunch side amount or whatever would be fine. I would have even been fine with receiving the full order as if it was ordered on its own and paying the full listed price. The person taking our order told me it would be "expensive" looked at his pad and quoted me $8 dollars which both my wife and I said was absolutely understandable and fine. He instead told me he would bring me regular fried rice because the Thai rice is "special" while repeatedly saying something about us sharing (which sentiment he repeated when bringing the rangoons). He then proceeded to tell me he'll bring me soup too as it was included in my lunch (from what my wife told me) even though I didn't even want any. I've never had wait staff refuse to let me order an item from the menu and argue with me about it and tell me what I'm allowed to have. Despite the money and time we've spent here in the past probably won't be back after this experience. Just not...

Im making this review because I did not like how one of the waitresses treated me. She was an older lady. I am a driver for Doordash and they're not necessarily specific whether or not you need to order the food or if the food is already made. I said I'm here for a Doordash order and so she had me order it. I ordered the food that was needed and delivered the food. Got a call from the customer that I delivered to saying she was missing food. So, I go back to the restaurant to see if I missed anything and it turned out that they had the whole order already made. I couldn't take what food was missing in the customers order because I had to pay for the whole thing again. The waitress then started getting angry with me because I could not pay for the food because the Doordash card kept declining which isn't my fault. She said, "What are we supposed to do? Eat it? We made this food so pay for it." It was an honest mistake and there was nothing I could do about it. She didn't have to be super rude and make me feel bad for it more than I already did. I do want to thank the young lady that was also working who said it's okay and that I'm okay to go as the rude waitress wouldn't let me as she kept drilling me and rolled her eyes at me. I personally will not be...

If you can get past the shame of parking in the same lot as middle-aged, balding men frequenting the adult shop next door, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Once you get inside, you'll see an updated interior and spacious seating. Most servers are very nice - some are actually quite funny. I've noted a number of other Yelpers that complain about a "cranky lady" (and other colorful descriptions). I know of whom you speak, and she is not the sunniest of dispositions. However, please remember that many of these individuals work very long hours and the language barrier is a real challenge for some. I speak Mandarin with her and (though it's very amateurish) it made a big difference in my interactions with her.

The menu is standard American-Chinese fare (with the exception of the hazelnut chicken, but more on that later) and food arrives promptly when dining in. Carry-out orders are usually ready in 10-15 minutes.

About the hazelnut chicken - it's a unique dish and outstandingly good. It's sweet, but more creamy than glazed. I recommend ordering one spicy dish and the hazelnut chicken and splitting with a friend.

The restaurant has been clean the times I've dined in, though I more frequently carry-out. Of the Chinese food options in Corvallis, this is...
