Georgie’s Mediterranean Cuisine offers a cozy, casual dining experience with a menu full of classic Mediterranean staples. On my recent visit, the overall experience was decent, though nothing particularly stood out. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm with traditional touches that made the space feel inviting. The food, however, was just okay. I tried the chicken shawarma plate, which came with rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread. The chicken was well-seasoned but slightly dry, and the rice lacked the fluffy texture and flavor I was hoping for. The hummus was smooth and creamy, but a bit under-seasoned for my taste. The salad was fresh, but the dressing didn’t add much. I also sampled the falafel, which was crisp on the outside but slightly dense inside. One highlight was the warm, freshly baked pita — it paired nicely with the hummus and helped elevate the overall meal. While Georgie’s isn’t a place I’d rush back to, it’s a solid option if you’re in the area and craving Mediterranean food. With a few improvements to seasoning and preparation, this place has the potential to be a local favorite. For now, it’s a decent spot that delivers an average but satisfying meal.

My wife loves Mediterranean food so we had to stop in based on the positive reviews. Glad we did! Upon entering we were greeted and met with a smile from the owner. He explained all the menu items and how everything is made from scratch daily. Later we determined the great taste! We ordered at the counter and grabbed a booth to sit while our food was prepared. We were served at the proper time with our food already in a container we used for leftovers. I really like this because it uses less plates and you ready to go when you’re done eating. The two of is got two meals each from what you see in the picture. We ordered the chicken and kabob plate. The kabobs were cooked to perfection and had a great taste. The rice was some of the best tasting rice. I never ask for seconds on rice but I did this time and my wife was shocked. The nan was the perfect size and amount. The vegetables melted in my mouth. If Mediterranean food is your jam, this is the place to go. My wife being the expert said this is the best Mediterranean food she has ever had anywhere. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Bustling family-owned casual Mediterranean spot. They’re currently open for takeout during covid and do have a couple of small outdoor tables for dining. They have a variety of standard Mediterranean dishes and have generous portion sizes. I ordered a beef shawarma and it was well-seasoned but some might find there to be a lot of cumin. The lamb inside the kebab wrap was a bit tough but had good flavor. The chicken was a bit dry but similarly was flavorful. The baklava ($1.99) was small but sweet, and they have pistachio available! It did take them a bit longer than expected to prepare the food (~35 min) but they kindly gave me an extra baklava. In fairness, they were also quite busy and there was a line of people coming in and out to grab pick-up orders (which I’d recommend doing to avoid a wait). They do accept credit cards. Parking is a bit tough but there’s street parking if you stay off the main street. Overall, it’s a local business that provides some Mediterranean flair.

Oh Georgie, how I really wanted to like you... I really only wanted to give you 3.5 stars..

Came in here on a week day night because I was really craving Mediterranean food. It wasn't too crowded, there was probably only two tables eating. And a family of 4 who ordered before me. Georgie's has an open kitchen which you can see everything is made to order. They also have a variety of sides displayed, so you can pick and choose what you want.

The chicken shawarma wrap was really simple but really good. (They don't do the stuffed wraps anymore unfortunately :/ ) Anyways, the wrap came with very flavorful chicken, slightly on the dry side, garlic sauce, pickles. It was very simple, but very yummy. Not to mention the cashier was very nice as well!

But the wait... Oh my goodness gracious. It took about 45 minutes to get wrap. There was only one man manning the grill. But 4 other people were in the kitchen. I don't know what went on... But I even got my food before the poor family of 4 before me. I think they'd be better if they were more effective in the kitchen and served their customers a little faster. Other than that, I don't have any other negatives. Maybe I'll come back when there's no one else in the store. Maybe the wait will be less than 45...

I'm gonna give it a 1 star because the food is great but the wait time needs exponential improvement. I get and agree with their mojo about great food takes time to prepare. My problem with them is that they lied to you about the wait time on phone orders by saying 25 to 30 min and when you get there 25 minutes after they say it's gonna be another 10 minutes and I say ok only for them to come back 7 mins after and say if I want to substitute the rice for other side. I say no to the cashier she then goes to talk to the cook and they have a silent discussion. 5 minutes after they come and say another 7 minutes. Yes, this actually happened, it was uncomfortable and ridiculous. I decided to cancel the order and the cashier seems a bit dumbfounded that I actually asked for a refund. Another gentleman was there before and commented to me that "it's taking forever". The cashier tried to get him to substitute rice for something else as well

I speculate that they stop making rice at one point in the night and try to convince people to sub sides. As customers, Georgies owes us the courtesy of being factual about the wait time and tell us if rice is even available to begin with...
