I was watching Diner Dash in real life today. There was one person working. Alarms and the phone was going off, and steams everywhere.
Yet Jake took his time to talk to me about the menus and answered all of my questions as he entertained other guests in the store and phone calls in between. With a smile on his face!!!
One moment im ordering my plethora of sample orders as suggested by Jake to try. The next thing I knew orders were flying out of the order window space. And then my orders were done. I was told 20 minutes but my drinks were called out in seconds!!! The bao box foods took awhile but most certainly much lesser than 15 minutes! He did advertise each time that we will get a text message once orders are done so we are free to do our errands at the FM while we wait. This was an experience to watch!
I got a blended Taro with oreos that became an oreo shake. A secret recipe apparently and i can see why. It was very tasty with the boba. I got one set each of the bao menu. The pork buns are top tier. The shrimp dumpling could be better. The other ones my siblings liked enough.
Will come back soon to try other drinks and the noodles that i was told will be...
Read moreWe came in and the two employees we saw were very busy. Either way, we were greeted and welcomed in.
Right away, they apologized for the wait and told us it may take about 30 minutes for the dim sum. We were also told by the gentleman we will get a text message when orders are ready so we can always come back. Was also advised to pre-order through the website or doordash for quick pick ups. Great idea for next time.
The food was okay. The sichuan noodles were pretty good. I wish we tried the waffles because the whole store smelled good because of it. It also only took about less than 30 minutes when we received a text.

Prices for the amount of food you get are more what I'd expect to pay in Seattle for good quality, not Covington, and this food is not high quality sorry to say. Tastes like frozen stuff you'd get from Costco.
Staff are friendly and trying their best, but they seem really overworked and overwhelmed. If they had more help with better management they'd be able to put out a better product. It seems like a newer place so maybe in the future things will be ironed out, but definitely avoid for now, far better offerings in Covington.
If you do decide to try it, make sure to order ahead because the wait time, due to overworked staff, is...
