Pike Street — Restaurant in Covington

The food is ok. It's a bit pricey. Service is very slow. We have been here twice after buying Cincy saver offers. The wait for food is at least 45 minutes. I don't think it's a good value since portions are small and items like the omelette cost more than competitors and do not include hash browns or meat. You pay more, but only get the omelette with toast. As soon as you walk in the door, you will see the food warmer on the right. Food typically sits in the warmer for a very long time. On our first visit, we sat in view of the warmer. I saw my dish get sat there. It was over 30 minutes wait for our other dish to get made and delivered to the table. The menu does not have many options. It's not bad, just not good compared to other restaurant options. The meatloaf was not visually appealing at all and didn't taste very good. The meatloaf tasted good, but the hash brown waffle was awful. It tasted day old and right out of the refrigerator. It had water on it, making it soggy. My guess is the water was from...

Great atmosphere! The decor and renovation of this space are really done well. The menu is simple but still interesting, which made decision making easy. I had the omelette and a side of goetta, which were all good. My only suggestion for improvement on the beverages is the coffee-it didn't taste great, and I would have preferred fresh cream/half and half instead of the shelf stable pods that leave milk solids in the cup. Other than that, I left with a good impression.

Accessibility information for future guests: the front entrance is not accessible to those in wheelchairs (or possibly with other mobility differences), as there is one large step and no ramp. Seating accessibility for those who are larger is very good-there are moveable, sturdy chairs combined with booths and moveable tables in the back half of the restaurant. I'm not sure about restroom accessibility because I didn't visit the restroom.

Unfortunately this was my second visit and it was not much better than my first. My friend and I walked in and we were told to have a seat and someone would be with us. After about 8 minutes a girl dropped off a menu. A man eventually brought us water. Our food was horrible. I don’t ever leave this bad of a review but both of our meals were not good at all. My bun was hard as a rock. My burger was burnt. My friends eggs were way over cooked-not edible. The service met the expectations of the food. The man did not apologize. We had mentioned we would like another cocktail and he saw our empty glasses and didn’t offer us another drink. The experience was disappointing and we will not be returning.
