1st time at Covington Yard. The concept is really great, and it was thriving on Saturday night. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe. However, I ordered food from YARDBIRD and was extremely disappointed in the service that we received. I ordered a chicken sandwich for my wife and asked for no Blue cheese crumbles. When I picked up my order and hers after she took the 1st bite it had Blue cheese crumbles on it. My wife took it back to the server and he was extremely rude and very abrasive towards her stating that she was wrong and that the sandwich was as exactly as ordered. It was not, as she doesnât like Blue cheese. He did not offer a replacement, and we had to throw the $9 sandwich away. Itâs not about the money, but how the employee was rude to my wife. What happen to the old saying âthe customer is always right?â Not at Yardbird! Definitely will NOT be spending our money at this place again! Willing to give Covington Yard another try, and another one of their other...
Read moreI visited the Covington Yard on 7/17 and was super excited about it. I was bummed though because it was raining and humid, not ideal for outside activities. I noticed that the establishment closes at 10 but when we got there all the food places were closed except âMr. Bulgogiâ we went inside and the bar tender said the food places close at 8 pm, we got there at 8:24 pm which was a bummer. We tried Mr. Bulgogi and it was so good. We had the crab Rangoon, pork dumplings, and a beef rice bowl, not only was the food good but it was very reasonable priced. All 3 items came to about $21. My fiancĂ©e and I were visiting from Cleveland and a place like that would have easily ran us over $30.
The atmosphere was really nice as well. Everything was clean and well decorated. I also love the idea of the shipping containers as the host for the food vendors. Itâs very unique and moderns, if youâre in the area, give this place a visit. It would be a really great hang out spot for...
Read moreThis place is unique in part because of the food places, but they're regularly closed well before the bar. On a recent attempt, all were closed 3 hours before (maybe more for all we know). We've given them multiple chances but we're so sick of showing up only to find all the food places closed, and figuring out if they're open ahead of time is next to impossible.
Alcohol selection is average at best and slightly overpriced - there are better options within minutes. 2 stars because the outside area is nice in good weather. Cool concept and I hope it improves but we've been beyond frustrated on multiple occasions and it's not worth...
