We went to Tello’s with a group of friends. There were a few families with us. The parents sat at one table; the kids sat at another table. We ordered a kid’s meal for my 5-year-old son – it was a quesadilla with French fries, but we asked for beans instead of the fries. When the food came out, the guy who brought the food to the table didn’t ask the adult table whose food each plate was. They just sat my son’s food in front of him. Instead of bringing him beans like he ordered, they brought him fries. Instead of sending the food back, he just ate the fries. Unbeknownst to us, a child from another family had also ordered the same kid’s meal with fries. When the server brought out the plate with beans, they were told that they ordered fries. He took the plate with beans back and brought another order with fries.
When it was time to pay, they charged me FOUR DOLLARS for an extra order of fries. They said that, because my 5-year-old kid just ate what they gave him instead of sending the inaccurate order of fries back, they made an extra plate with beans. Because of that, they rationalized that we should pay an extra $4 for the mistake made. They didn’t leave the plate with the beans. They took it back to put the same quesadilla on a plate with fries. But they charged me $4 for the trouble.
We told the waiter about the mistake. He said that it was on purpose, and I would have to speak with him manager. We spoke to the manager, and she insisted that we pay for it. So they brought out a plate of food, they gave it to a 5-year-old without asking the parents if it was correct, he ate it without complaining, and their mistake caused them to waste the amount of beans they put on a kid’s plate…so they charged us an extra $4 for food that they didn't even leave on the table, but for food they took back to the kitchen.
We ate there twice over three days and paid over $100 for the two meals. And we were cheated out of $4. ...
Read moreEvery Tuesday I go with a group of 20-25 friends for taco Tuesday. Service and food is always hit or miss, but today was terrible. We waited OVER an hour just for him to take our food order even though we told him many times we were ready to place it. Also, Tuesday’s are $3.99 mixed drink specials, as stated in the MTM shopper ad I had, so I ordered a small strawberry daiquiri. My fiancé ordered three grilled chicken tacos, like always, for the menu price of $7. One didn’t have cheese on it for whatever reason, so he asked for a small cup of cheese for it. On the check, the tacos came out as $9, the small drink was $6.99 and the cup of cheese was $1. We spoke to our waiter and explained the issue and he said he’d talk to the manager. Then the manger came over and said everything on the check was correct. I showed him the MTM ad I had that clearly stated mixed drinks for the $3.99, like I get every Tuesday, and he said “no, it’s only for mixed drinks like vodka, tequila, etc” which makes NO SENSE. We then told him about the tacos and cheese and he said everything on it was right. My fiancé gave him the money and said that we will just take our business elsewhere going forward and the manager replied that it was fine, we don’t need you to come back. The MANAGER said that. We almost couldn’t believe the lack of professionalism with this situation. So with that being said, we will HAPPILY go back to El Chaparro every Tuesday with our group of 25 that you claim to not need. They may not have patio seating, but we won’t have to deal with unprofessional waiters, RUDE customer service and orders that are...
Read moreMy husband and two of our friends came here tonight to eat. We all ordered our drinks, a few weren’t right, so we kindly asked for them to be fixed. She came back with the wrong drinks AGAIN. We ordered our food and all four meals were wrong. We sent them back again and once again, they came back to us wrong. The server wouldn’t take the time to actually even listen to what we wanted before she ran back to the kitchen to bring us some more food that wasn’t what we ordered. At this point, they were clearly annoyed and started acting like we were the problem when they kept getting it wrong. I, myself ordered a nacho dish and asked the nachos to be replaced with rice. She bring it back to me with rice on top of nachos when I previously stated to her more than once that wasn’t what I wanted. After picking through my food taking the nachos out, I found a nice long hair and pulled it out of the cheese. When we asked for a manager, she came to the table and asked what was wrong. We told her and decided to leave at that point. She told us we were to pay for our drinks and the cheese dip, my husband was not okay with this. She said she was going to check the cameras to make sure that I DIDNT PLACE MY OWN DAMN HAIR IN THE PLATE OF FOOD IM ABOUT TO INGEST. She threatened to call the police on us then told us to leave and never come back. How can you act like we’re the problem when your folks are the one who messed four peoples entire orders up? What kind of customer service is that? She didn’t offer to fix anything or give us a discount or anything. Y’all need lessons in the food industry cause...
