This restaurant has a very clean and modern layout. The bathrooms are clean, not super clean but clean enough. Plenty of good parking. It is not hard to find a spot in front of the restaurant at all. Where this restaurants shines in my opinion, no doubt the atmosphere. As you enjoy your bowl of ramen, the artwork pictures on the walls and the anime that plays all around you on the TV is quite refreshing as far as restaurant themes go. Although the restaurant is quite tight in some areas as far as space-wise, gos the themes of the restaurant and the execution or immaculate. Now to the food, I'm going to be quite frank with you and this is just my opinion. Taking mine that I'm also a city boy from the city of st. Louis whose renowned for our rice houses. The food leaves something to be desired to the imagination. Don't give me wrong. The food is not terrible but it isn't great either. It's a little bit above average. However, they do have certain dishes that they have perfected. As far as price goes, it's a little bit middle of the road there as well. Pushing towards a little bit the expensive side. Depending on what you get, you are looking up towards the bill close to maybe 50 to $40 for two people. That's with two drinks, a main course and maybe two to one appetizers. But I must mention it again where this restaurant excels is it atmosphere. You see a collective of people who frequent this restaurant. The service was was pretty good, Friendly, cheerful and helpful. Even adding more to the overall vibes of the restaurant. I would definitely check this restaurant out. Probably one of the best times to check it out is during the week day. I've been told by other people who visit the restaurant on the weekend. It does...

This time, after raving to a friend that came with us about the Yolomein dish, we had a problem.
We both wanted to try it with the rice noodles. When it came, we both thought it had little flavor. Compared to what I always order, with egg noodles, this change up was disappointing. This order was not the same. So, they offered to remake both and did. Again, exactly the same with no flair and the veggies were undercooked this time.
Feeling terrible about wasting food, we asked if they could either cook these longer or just give us the money back. We were told that the usual cooking way, with egg noodles, would make it better. They were right. If they had said that upon ordering, we would have ordered it the usual way.
It was something about the rice noodles not cooking the same way as egg noodles. Had we been told that it would alter the flavor, we wouldn’t have gotten these.
We come here more and more as my wife and I love it and they accommodate her gluten free items.
I also wondered if it was due to being a Monday and maybe this was not the usual staff cooking.
This glitch won’t stop us from coming back often. But, now we know. We won’t ask them for I change the recipe.
Other than that, they do an outstanding business and offer...
Read moreHaving lived in Japan, I know various flavors of ramen.
Nudo House is very bland. Of the three I sampled, none stood out. The vegetables were crisp, but weren't working with the flavor of the broth.
The noodles were semi-firm, no issue. Good quantity, inoffensive.
The egg was lightly marinated at best. Didn't have that traditional ramen egg saturated flavor.
The meat was okay. Wasn't tough, wasn't chewy.
But the broth? It was mopey. It was a bit savory and somehow under salted? Not certain the missing piece, but the broth makes the bowl and it's lacking.
The sides are fine, too. Fat crab rangoons, but I don't want that much goop.
The takoyaki has large piece of pickled ginger on top. That was really weird and displeasing. Yes, traditional takoyaki has picked ginger in it, but it's diced and just a bit in the ball, not on top in thick pieces found on a sashimi platter. They also where way too mushy. There should be layer of solid, fluffy pancake with a doughy center, but this was just more mush.
Overall, it's not one of the ramen places I'll go back to. It's definitely has fan favorites, but it lacks a distinct flavor I'm looking for in Japanese ramen and...
