Strange Donuts — Restaurant in Creve Coeur

Great most of the time. Awesome donuts. Great customer service except for one female that is rude every time I go in there. I asked her one day to use an extra box when the amount of donuts I was getting that day did not fit in two and said it was because I didn't want them smashed. So she tells me "We got this" (very dismissively) and continues to shove donuts into a box that's clearly not going to close flush without smashing down donuts. They were slanted and overlapping each other. I was going to get a dozen that day. She had told me it's six per box, but if I'm getting donuts that are larger than average, I think a third box could be used to preserve the quality. I stopped selecting after she told me that to avoid them getting smashed even more and only got 10 that day. Now every time I go in there and she is there I order between 7 and 9 donuts to get them spaced well in the boxes because we love their donuts so some bad service won't deter me from going but it's still an annoying adjustment. We usually check out what their featured donut is and get some of those. They tend to be a little large, which is awesome, but that means you can't fit 6 in a box. But man is she determined to...

Actually had never been there before. Donuts looked good and the person behind the counter was friendly. I ordered 3 donuts, 2 being iced. The employee put them in a bag - I could instantly tell it would be a mess. The icing was all over the bag. Don't know what's going on with the icing, but it's almost liquid (and the donuts weren't even hot). It simply ran off of the donuts, got all over the bag and the other donuts. If you're going to make icing like that, you certainly shouldn't stack them on top of each other in a bag. The donuts were such a mess, I just pitched the entire bag. :-(

UPDATE AS OF JULY 2023: Thought I'd give this place another try as I was passing by. Mistake. Got 2 donuts. They're not fresh, but were refrigerated and cold. The chocolate icing was so thin, you could hardly even taste it, and it was almost liquid getting all over the bag and the other donut. I ate about 1/4 of each donut and then threw them out. If i could rate it ZERO stars I would. I will never order donuts from this location or any strange donuts location again. i went to pick up my order this morning that i ordered in advance DAYS ago for a baby shower today. I walked in and the man behind the corner (high on drugs) said he had sold my order to someone else. I was not offered a refund or any compensation. i had to tell them to give me a refund, and they did not want to give me the amount i tipped them back. why would they keep my tip for donuts they sold that were supposed to be mine? Then they had the audacity to ask me to order them for tomorrow instead?? how would i even know they would be there tomorrow… also i clearly needed them today, which is why I ordered them far in advance.
