Zerio's — Restaurant in Cromwell

Unfortunately this was one of the worst steak n cheese grinders ive had. I love a good steak n cheese, and really wanted to enjoy this grinder, but i just couldnt get there. I messaged the owner, but havent heard back. The steak was clumped together like it was sitting in a metal warmer precooked for the day... no flavor and not finely chopped like a good steak n cheese. The grinder was LOADED with mayo...i like mayo a good amount i can deal with but this was just overwhelming and had to be cleaned off with a napkin. I added bacon and i for one couldnt taste it, but also when searching to see if there was even bacon the grinder i noticed one small skinny piece laid on both sides. The onions were barely cooked, let alone caramalized.100% not worth the upcharge. I will say the parmesan pizza they had for customers while waiting was amazing, as was the grinder roll itself. Otherwise a very very unpleasant experience and definitely will not be returning, mostly because i never even got a response to make it right from the owner. sorry i couldnt write a better review, but reviews are just...

I'm working in town on a construction project and found this place a couple weeks in. They were fairly consistent and decent sandwiches pizza and etc. Until today, I ordered a 10 inch grinder with a cutlet, and she asked me if I wanted the chicken heated. I said yes, and was actually excited as I would t have thought of it myself. when I got the sandwich, it was barely edible. The cutlet was cold as a fridge and the breading was falling off all over, mushy and nasty. I got peppers and lettuce on it and it was so sloppy, peppers piled high in one spot and none I'm others. I don't know who wrapped the sandwich and sent it out, but I can't imagine actually thinking someone would enjoy that, let alone the offer to heat it and just not even make that effort? Why ask at all? Will not be going back and am actually really upset that they'd do that to a customer who had come back daily for...
