I went here for lunch on a friend's recommendation. I've lived in Palms for a long time and sometimes these hidden gems escape you. I've driven past this restaurant so many times yet I'd never even seen it. I'm glad my friend pointed it out to me, and I'm glad I popped in. The entrance is unassuming, but just step inside and you're in a quaint Argentinean cafe with beautiful foliage, old-fashioned table cloths and flowers on all the tables. (I haven't even ordered yet!) "It's Cash Only, It's Okay?" (sweet lady at the front counter) I had to go grab some cash, but I did, I came back and ordered two empanadas and a cup of coffee. I tried the Criolla (ground beef, raisins, green onion, and spices), and the Ricotta (ricotta, mushrooms, and basil). I thoroughly enjoyed them both. I will definitely be back for more; these were expertly crafted empanadas. The coffee, which I enjoyed after, was good. And I don't know why he did it, but the gentleman who worked there brought me a little cookie to have with the coffee, and I'm so glad he did. I'd have never known the wonders otherwise, the cookie was a perfect accompaniment to the coffee. He said it was a dulce de leche caramel rolled in coconut.

We so much love going to Empanada's Place. We have been going for years and it never disappointments. The owner is usually there, but all of the staff is the best. They will tell you everything you need to know. The place is so cute with a little gift area and cool photos and art on the walls. There is limited seating indoor and out. We have done it all, but we tend to just get a dozen empanadas and take them home. They are close to us. They don't stay open late so get there before 6 pm. The service is fast and the place is always ever so clean. They treat all customers like family and appreciate the business. They make all types of empanadas and some are mild and some are pretty spicy. They are great for gatherings of friends or holidays. They also have great sandwiches. You will love this place and they will love you.

Far and away the best traditional Argentinean empanadas in the western half of Los Angeles County (even if practically the only), possibly the entire greater Los Angeles area. They're not cheap, but they are serious about quality. Everything is hand-made to order, and exceptionally tasty. Salads are fresh and crispy, empanada crust is light and flaky, fillings are rich and satisfying. I highly recommend the "spicy cheesy" beef and chicken, and - although it's admittedly a little untraditional (though not entirely, if you know the history and demography of the country) - the couple of Italian-inspired recipes are pretty awesome. Oh, and they're cash-only. Important to note these days.

Without a doubt the best Empanadas I have ever had. They're awesome. The choices for meat and veggie are wide and there is a lot of verity for you here to try.

I got to try chicken and beef ones but I assume that they all are just as awesome. Fresh made when you order them. The location is super small. Little tables crowd the front space, and the counter has a very mom and pop feel. I absolutely love the service, and I bet the owner was the man working. He was super chill and had a lovely smile. Just feels like this is what he loves to do, which is awesome. Again I would encourage you to try this place if you're looking for something new and exciting if you have never tried good empanadas before. If you have had good empanadas, come see how this lace stacks up. I argue...
