Gloria's Cake & Candy Supplies — Restaurant in Culver City

Worst customer service ever. I had bought a $14 bag of Wilton cake sequins that I wound up not needed. I called to inquire about returning the unopened bag and the owner said that she's not supposed to take back food items due to safety concerns, but she would make an exception and give me store credit. This already didn't sit well with me, as EVERYONE takes back unopened food items, but I decided to go in anyway and return them. When I got there, I expressed this to the owner, who just rudely pointed to her no return policy sign. I said fine, I would just find something to buy for my $14 and never come back. She couldnt believe that I would not come back just because of the return policy, amd decided to begrudgingly refund my money. I really want to support small businesses, which is why I paid her premium price, but she needs to get with the times. No refunds may have been fine 10+ years ago, but not anymore. Next time I will buy the same items on Amazon or at Michael's, for a lower price and the ability to return without a hassle...

It was my first time here with my son. We had never made candies or chocolate together, and the staff were super helpful. They had a crazy selection for such a small store! I was in and out with my stuff in 10 minutes. We got ingredients to make Gummi bears. They had the silicon molds, flavoring, gelatin, coloring, etc. They turned out great. I also got some chocolate molds too (lego block molds and molds that looked like pistols.... Don't ask).

They also limited the number of people in the store and provided everyone with gloves! I was really impressed. I know people touch everything, so it was nice to know that aspect was taken care of.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Gloria’s since they were on Sawtelle in the little blue house! My twins practically grew up in that little shop and we all adored Lydia! Things have changed over the years, but thankfully they’re still around and I am happy to support such a wonderful neighborhood business!
