Really great lunch Bday experience at this very very good sushi restaurant. Super High Quality fish and a strong menu. Location is central, parking right behind the restaurant. What stood out was the very good food by far. Super fresh and sooooo tasty. There are a ton of choices on the menu and no real overlap of dishes. Some of my favorites and some good new ones. Host was incredibly nice and server was good. Lunch prices are good - did not go for the Omakase, but did the $55 bowl. We ordered a lot and had sake and alcohol so the bill was decent. 5 stars!

I am absolutely outraged. This photo shows the amount of food we got for $75 (with tip). Yes, what you see here is ALL of it, and nothing more. I'm shocked. This is actually the worst case of "food gouging" I have ever experienced. This is NOT OK. An $18 roll with five small pieces in it. A side of what was described as truffle potatoes, with only 9 little sticks, but costing $12+ tax and tip. I have never felt so fleeced by a restaurant before in my life. What happened here is highway robbery.

Most definitely the best sushi I've had in years. My wife and I had Omakase for my birthday. Outstanding service -- they kindly accommodated our dietary requests. The presentation was masterful and the executive chef beautifully explained his artistic creations. I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely go back again to enjoy the chef's craftsmanship and to enjoy a truly authentic sushi kaiseki experience.

I discovered this restaurant via INKIND app and got a 20% discount + a $25 birthday credit.

The two of us arrived earlier and shared these dishes: -Yellowtail collar. Good portions. -Salmon skin salad. Very generous with the crispy salmon skins! -Shrimp tempura (2 shrimps +veges) -Truffle fries. Look at those big homecuts pieces. I think it was a special potato, not the usual American fries. -Unagi (eel) roll -Uni appetizer -Sake. Very, very good.

Then I had the 5 piece chef's choice sushi. Remember, no sauce for chef's specials. They already add everything to enhance the nigiri. Just put the whole piece in your mouth and experience the complex textures and flavors. I thought the 5-piece was a very good deal. Plus 2 orders of nigiri. I had to try the dry-aged sashimi/nigiri. The "dry-aged otoro" was very, very good. More intense flavor. And the sea bream had a nice smokey flavor (perfectly torched!)

Overall, very, very good. Consistently located next to Trader Joe's. Park at the TJ's public parking structure.

They also offer an omakase meal for $160, with or with sake pairing (+$40.)...

Charming, unobtrusive service—treating us like regulars from the get. Friendly, familial even. Fish was flavorful with unique, options I’ve never had before. Offered suggestions when asked but were not pushy nor simply pointing to the most expensive items on the menu. Spare decor and low lighting. Simple but pleasing. Perfect spot to catch up with a great friend I hadn’t hung with in a while. We talked in our own world all night but any moment we looked up wanting to order something, someone was there ready to help.

The don’t have a full bar, offering soju cocktails instead. Only maybe a dozen fine sakes to choose from. Could use a more expansive list. The ladies restroom could have been better attended to though. But the were busy and it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Enjoyed and...

I absolutely love this sushi spot. Probably the best sushi I have had since coming back from Japan. The adjustment back to US sushi has been extremely difficult but THIS place has really made me love sushi in LA again. Lunch omakase is amazing. Dinner is amazing Sunny our sushi chef was very in tune with what we liked and figured out what we should order. He gave great recommendations based on what we loved and preferred. Service staff is the most accommodating!

Order Dry Aged everything… some Of the best salmon sushi I’ve ever had. My faves: Dry Aged Fatty Toro, Red Snapper, dry aged Salmon, yellow tail, black snapper, Halibut,…. Honestly just order a few of your favorites and then let them make recommendations and order...
