Seems like they are rushing you to eat and leave. Every few minutes after receiving the food I was interrupted by the server asking the same question, need anything else or can i remove something from your table (with food on the plates that we have yet to really touch). There are non-verbal ques that can be used to check on the customer, but every 2-4 minutes asking if everything is okay and can i remove something got annoying. I could barely enjoy the delicious looking food and the conversation with my mother because the staff was just bouncing all over the place. Maybe try having them clean some tables or sweep before sitting the customer at the tables, like ours when we were seated. Or even have them walk by every so often to evaluate the customers drink level or empty plates before just assuming they are done with a plate they just received 2 minutes ago. It just made us feel rushed so when the waiter asked us those same questions we just asked for a to-go plate, paid on the tablet at the table and left. I don't think I'll ever go there to eat again. The food looked great, kudos to the chef for a great job in looks and flavor. The only thing in that area I would change is the spinach queso dip. I thought spinach was the star of the dip but instead it was mostly queso, guacamole, and pico de gallo with very little spinach so little you could not even find the spinach (queso blanco cheese with a scoop of guacamole and a scoop of pico with cilantro sprinkled on top. I found 2 strips of spinach under the guacamole and had to ask for more spinach to add to the dip to make it a spinach and queso dip) see images of...
Read moreWorst experience I have had in a restaurant in a long time!!! My fiance and I came here for a late lunch, around 2:45 and didn't think we'd have much trouble. We were wrong. We were greeted quickly by the hostess and told to sit anywhere on the side of the restaurant with the bar. This side was almost empty, with only one other couple sitting at the bar. We sat ourselves and within 3 minutes, our waitress got our drink order and gave them to us. She asked if we were ready, but we needed a few more minutes with the menu, as they have changed the menu again, "2 weeks ago". A couple minutes after she left, we had made our choices and had put the menus away. At about the 10 minute mark, the waitress came out of the back, took the order for the couple at the bar, and disappeared into the back again. We didn't see the waitress again before we left. We waited for another 5 minutes before asking the food runner girl who had brought me a refill about us paying for our drinks (and using our reward to get one free) so we could leave. The food runner girl didn't know how to fix it for the free drink and went to find our waitress. She returned a few minutes later saying she couldn't find her, but said that we could just pay for the drinks on the tablet thing on the table. We were nice and just paid for the drinks and left. We shouldn't have paid $6 whole dollars for two drinks!!! Beyond upset we wasted time and $ to just be ignored and left hungry! We are officially done...
Read moreTo not bury the lead - We were served a hair filled quesadilla, the manager had an attitude when we brought it up, we hunted for anyone who cared and found noone. Good job Chilis. Went tonight with family. Wife ordered a quesadilla - it came, with long black hair on top and baked into it. Waitress didn't come back. I waited outside the kitchen noone came out. I had to take my hairy quesadilla up to the front area to find anyone and they took it and said "we will have the manager talk to you". Went back to my seat, 6 minutes go by, we hear nothing - I go up and say again we want to speak to the manager. Jason the manager comes out and said "I heard you wanted to speak to me what can I do for you." - "Yes, we were the family with the hair filled quesadilla" - "Yes, we are remaking it. What else?". We informed Jason we didn't want another one and he said well they are making it anyway. We said we just wanted it off our bill and he said "ok we were doing that anyway." Noone comes out to say the bill is adjusted. Wife had no dinner. Waitress wanders back through another 5 minutes later and said "so they are making it anyway, do you want it?" - well no, we dont want a less hair filled quesadilla. We paid and left. We have legitimately never had a worst experience at a chilis. We've been here often as a family - at least once a month - and we are done. ...
